Best South Indian Oscar – Kamal Haasan Vs Prakash Raj Vs Suriya???

The toughest competition was on before a month and the fans across various states have voted their favorite actors and technicians.

The category for ‘Best Actor’ is the most knotty thing to decide as the nominees have surpassed with on their respective arenas. Say for instance, Kamal Haasan broke the clichés of his yesteryear images and came up with a challenging role in ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’. Suriya established him in extremely action-packed role with ‘Ayan’ and for Jeyam Ravi, ‘Peranmai’ was an exceptional showpiece.

Prakash Raj has already won National award for his best performance in ‘Kanchivaram’ while Aarya’s overpowering performance in ‘Naan Kadavul’ was far beyond brilliance.

Keep logging to this column and we’ll bring you the latest updates of the 57th Filmfare awards all set to kick-start this evening.

Karthi in Bollywood Style

The actor makes sure that he appears in public to promote his films before its release. Early during this year, Karthi was present along with Reema was present at Vivek & Co stores in Adyar promoting his ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’. Much prior to the release of his other release ‘Paiyaa’, the actor appeared for the inauguration for various showrooms and in fact, it worked some best results.

And now, it’s his turn to promote ‘Naan Mahan Alla’ by his personal visits to showrooms and few other places. In fact, few brands and educational institutions are already in talks with him through his spokesperson pertaining to his activities. It’s worth mentioning only few actors in Kollywood follow the promotional pattern of Bollywood celebrities and Karthi is one amongst them.

‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ is all set for a big release on August 20 and Cloud Nine Productions is planning for more promotional campaigns through its network.

Boss Engira Baskaran Photo Gallery

Boss Engira Baskaran’ is a forthcoming film of Red Giant Movies. The film was actually started by Vasan Visual Ventures that produced Bala’s national award winning film ‘Naan Kadavil’. Later actor Arya undertook the film under his home banner ‘The Show People’ even as the film was under production. But in the end ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ was lapped up in total by Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies.

Bollywood Bug Bites Yuvan & Harris

Wondering what this is all about? We are aware that Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for director Ameer's Aadhi Bhagavan. The duo, along with lyricist Snehan, were in Singapore to compose the songs. We now learn that Yuvan has roped in Hindi singer Mohit Chouhan, of Masakali fame, to sing a song in Aadhi Bhagavan. If this is not news enough, reports suggest that the lyrics of this song are completely in Hindi. Yuvan is also doing the background score for the Hindi movie "Aakrosh", directed by Priyadarshan.

“To add to this” Harris Jeyaraj is already stepping his way into Bollywood. Harris is composing the music for the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster "Kaakha Kaakha" which is directed by Nishikant Kamat. Harris was the music director of the original in Tamil as well.

A lot happening with Vikram

There is a lot happening on the side of Cheeyan Vikram. Really a lot so to say. Vikram was expected to do director Boopathy Pandian film after ‘Kanthaswamy’. But Cheeyan opted to do Mani Ratnam's trilingual ‘Raavanan’ and worked hard for almost 2 years. But when the film got released it did not live up to the hype and expectations. But the performance of Vikram in Hindi and Tamil were much appreciated and Vikram added more celebrities to his fan base.

One of them was the Bollywood director Neeraj Pandey who did the classy film 'A Wednesday' which was later remade in Tamil as ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ with Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal. Recently Neeraj was in Chennai and had met Vikram. After a small talk the Bollywood director expressed his interest in Vikram and told the star that soon they will be doing a Hindi film together.

After ‘Raavanan’, Vikram got involved in a Selvaraghavan film and even completed a schedule of shooting for seven days. But production hitch ups like the complete script wasn’t ready and the new heroine wasn’t up to the mark etc. shelved the project. He then started a film called '24' to be directed by Vikram Kumar of ‘Yavarum Nalam’ fame. Even this film got into trouble and Vikram walked out of the project after shooting for four days.

If all that weren’t enough now we hear that Vikaram has deferred the Boopathy Pandian film 'Vedi' for which he was to start shooting in Salem on August 17. Sources close to Vikram say ‘Vedi’ is a comedy and Vikram feels that this may not be the right time to do a comedy. The Veera of ‘Raavanan’ has gone down well with the masses and so he wants to do another serious character before taking up a comedy.

In the process Vikram has heard and liked a story narrated by ‘Madrasapattinam’ Vijay and it is all likely Vikram will start this film soon as his next. After completing Vijay's film Vikram will bag the comedy bus to be driven by Boopathy Pandian.

Vikram hasn't done a full fledged comedy yet. So we expect his film with Boopathy Pandian to be a great entertainer.

Lakshmi goes bald

Though it is common for actors in K-town to tonsure their heads for a crucial scene in the movies they act, not may actresses come forward to go bald. However, Lakshmi seems to be an exception to this.

The actress, who shot to fame with ‘Poi Solla Porom’ and hogged attention playing Trisha’s mother in ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’, has agreed to shave her head for ‘Yudham Sei’, directed by Mysskin.

“It is a once-in-a-lifetime role and it required me to tonsure my head. I had no issues because it was one such role I have been waiting for so long and Mysskin is a wonderful director,” the actress says.

Revealing the list of her upcoming films, she says, “I am there in Boss Engira Baskaran, Naan Mahaan Alla, Kanimozhi, Aanmai Thavarel, Putham Pudhu Kaalai and other projects.” Besides, Lakshmi is also busy with her maiden directorial venture.

Baana Kaathadi Movie Review

Starring: Atharva, Samantha
Direction: Badri Venkatesh
Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Production: Sathyajyothi films

Director Badri Venkatesh's maiden venture Baana Kaathadi was released today with some amount of expectation in the Kollywood film circle. The film has Atharva, veteran actor Murali's son, and Samantha, who was the heroine in Telugu VTV, as the lead pair. Prasanna, Karunas and Manobala are in supporting roles and music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. So what is Baana Kaathadi all about?Baana Kaathadi

The hero is a school student living in the crowded slum of North Chennai. He falls in love with a college going Fashion Technology student while chasing kites with his friends. The hero gets caught by the police in an unexpected situation which happens to change his life forever. What happens to the hero? Does he manage to marry the girl he fell in love with? Watch Baana Kathaadi if you want to find the answer to these questions.

Atharva is a school student whose hobby is to fly kites. It just happens that one day he bumps, quite literally, into Samantha. In the ensuing events, Samantha's pen-drive finds its way into Atharva's pocket. This makes Samantha go behind Atharva for two days as she has her college project in that pen-drive. Atharva's mother manages to find it while washing clothes and he gives it back to Samantha. Thrilled by getting the pen-drive back, she decides to throw a party to Atharva and his friends. Love looms between the two. Now if you are wondering about the age disparity between the two, here is a clarification. Atharva is not a bright student at school and so he spends two or three years in every standard he studies. Good.

The hero decides to express his love and when the two meet in a beach, Atharva spills a pack of condoms, which he accidentally and unknowingly picks up from Karunas' pocket. This infuriates Samantha who decides to dump his love. Meanwhile, Atharva happens to be a witness to a murder of an ex-MLA committed by Prasanna who lives in the same area. A sudden change of events lands Atharva behind the bars. What happens to Atharva, Prasanna and Samantha is the rest of the story.

The first half of Baana Kaathadi drags itself forward with high points here and there. It makes you wonder how a fashion technology student can fall in love with a school student (though an explanation is given). Maybe you excuse the director as he is allowed to use his cinematic freedom but the expression on Samantha's face when the pack of condoms gets spilled is certainly questionable. We also wonder why Atharva does not make an attempt to hide it or give an explanation. In fact, the only scene in the movie which demands attention is when Prasanna kills the ex-MLA. The story shines in bits but falls flat in many places.

Atharva does a good job as the protagonist. He looks quite real as the school boy in the slums of North Chennai. But he does seem to have a lot more in him and has a lot of potential to make it big in Kollywood. Samantha does not have a lot of scope and has done a very ordinary job as the heroine. After her brilliant performance in Ye Maaya Chesave, it is quite natural to expect more from her. But she disappoints. Karunas and others have played their parts. Some of the comedy scenes do evoke laughter in the audience.

Director Badri Venkatesh could have handled the script a lot better. With a powerful production house and lots of talent at his disposal, he could easily have given much more powerful presentation. The screenplay does not demand attention at all and hence it is hard to hide a feeling of saturation when you are watching the movie. Even the romantic sequences between the two seem so artificial. Though the song numbers by Yuvan are fairly enjoyable it does not add strength to the otherwise ordinary movie. Same applies to the cinematography which is handled by Richard Maria Nathan. There is nothing more in the movie that is really worth mentioning.

With no other movies releasing this weekend and a dry Friday last week, this movie had all the potential to make it big. Unfortunately, poor handling of the script and actors is a major letdown in this movie. Atharva seems qualified to do better roles in the future. The movie has his moments but it is not enough to hold the movie-goer's attention for long periods of time.

Verdict – Baana Kaathadi - does not fly high.

Dhanush’s wedding wishes to Divya

Even three years after they acted together in ‘Polladhavan’, Dhanush and Divya Spandana share a very good friendship. And they are in constant touch with her, thanks to the modes of communication the modern world has in store.

Recently, the actress tweeted on her micro-blogging page that she shot for a wedding scene in one of her upcoming films. She wrote on her profile that she didn’t know how many times she has been married (in movies).

Reacting to this, Dhanush, who is very active on internet and regularly replies to almost all the tweets he get, said, “You got married??!! Lol! Wish you a happy married life and my condolences to the boy.”

Tweeting back wittily, Divya Spandana said, “You didn’t marry me in ‘Polladhavan’, so I got married in this one. Kedi!!! I will keel you! Whoever marries me is the most fortunate, blessed and luck person! Poda!” Long live their friendship!

Poorna’s hands are full

Not just looks, but her activeness may also remind you of Asin. We are talking about Poorna, who is acting in seven films in Kollywood, not to forget about offers from Tollywood and Mollywood knocking her door.

In Tamil, she is currently acting in films like ‘Dhrogi, Vithagan, Aadu Puli, Arjunan Kaadhali, Naran, Vellore Mavattam’ and ‘Kolai Thozhil’. “All the seven films offered me enough scope to perform,” she says.

The actress, who says that she is open to challenging offers, adds: “I am at the initial stage of my career. Acting in varied roles could alone establish me as a good actress. So I am ready to try new things.”

As part of her mission, Poorna recently dubbed on her own for her character in ‘Dhrogi’. “Though I am not well versed in Tamil yet, I did so thanks to the encouragement by director Sudha Prasad.”

Suriya to stun with stunts

Suriya, who is playing a circus artiste in his upcoming ‘7am Arivu’, is planning something different to promote the film, we learn. “He will perform some daring stunts during a promotional event of the movie,” sources say.

“For the past six months and more, he has been learning acrobatics and other circus stunts from an expert. As a result, the actor has learnt some aerial tricks and doing it during the shoot of the film without the help of a double,” maintain sources.

Saying that the training sessions Suriya underwent and the making of the film were captured on a camera, they add that these things will be screened to the audience before the release of the movie, which is directed by A R Murugadoss.

Besides, Suriya will also perform some hair-raising stunts on his own in front of a large number of the audience, probably at the audio launch function. All these things will make the film produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin bigger in all terms.

Details about Udhayanidhi’s debut film

Director Rajesh of ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ fame, who has finished shooting ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ Monday last, is currently busy with the post production works of the Arya-Nayantara starrer.

After completing everything related to the film produced by Vasan Visual Ventures and presented by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies and Arya’s ‘The Show People’, the filmmaker will start directing Udhayanidhi for his debut heroic venture.

“I have already started the groundwork. The film will launch Udhay as a romantic hero. It will be on the lines of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’,” says Rajesh, adding: “It is going to be a perfect launch pad for Udhay.”

“The script is getting its final touches now. An official announcement will be made once everything is ready,” he adds. It is to be noted that Udhayanidhi, one of the top producers of Tamil cinema, did a cameo in his production venture ‘Aadhavan’ last year.

Atharva's great family

Atharva, the grandson of veteran Kannada film director S Siddalingaiah of the classic films in Kannada like ‘Bangaradha Manushya’, ‘Boothaiyyana Maga Ayyu’ and the son of Tamil actor Murali was in his home town Bangalore on Wednesday on the occasion of promoting his debut film ‘Baana Kaathadi’ that is releasing today 6th of August.

Atharva says his grandfather Siddalingaiah is the key inspirer in shaping him as an actor. “When I told my grandfather I wanted to become a ‘Dhobi’ he was perplexed. I had only in mind the powerful arms of ‘Dhobis’ explained Atharva who got right tips from his father and grandfather to take up debut film.

The film ‘Baana Kaathadi’ (Big Kite) is a perfect youth oriented subject from Satyajyothi Films that has given his father Murali his biggest hit in his career ‘Idhayam’.

“I was in the Royapuram slum for one and half months to take right attitudes of a guy from North Chennai area” disclosed Atharva sitting in between his father and grandfather at The Bell Hotel in Bangalore on Wednesday morning.

The mind of heart is important not the place where you live is the focus of this love cum entertainment ‘Baana Kaathadi’ said Atharva. Murali in self imposed exile for last three years has plans to get an entry to his son in Kannada too.

The proud grandfather of Atharva remembered the reversing of destiny in his lifetime. “I came to Bangalore to become an actor but respected Balakrishna advised me to take up direction for which I have no regrets. My son Murali wanted to be director but he became an actor from ‘Prema Parva’. My grandson Atharva in the childhood said he wanted to be a dhobi later changed his mind to become a football player but I gave him the knowledge of cinema what I knew. When he was in 12th he got the right idea of an actor and today he needs the blessings”, said the humble respected director Siddalingaiah who has many accolades in his profession.

Arjun’s 4 movies releasing in 2010

Thirty years in film industry and yet action king Arjun strikes with the same spectacular shows as he posed three decades ago. Looking young, zippy, and energetic is his unparalleled USP. With his four important films scheduled for release by the end of 2010, the actor is busy now simultaneously shooting for these projects.

The first to hit the screens in this league will be his bilingual movie Vande Mataram, in which he has shared screen space with Malayalam superstar Mammootty. This film is directed by D. Aravindan and is produced by Henry under the banner of Pankaj Productions. His other film Maasi directed by Kiccha features him as a cop, who doesn’t use his brawniness, but his brains to spifflicate the baddies.

Striding away from these films will be Vallakottai as Arjun performs an unusual role of a petty thief. Literally vexed with his fraudulent acts, he decides to give up. But his arrival in Vallakottai, a district in Southern Tamil Nadu has different plans for him. Filmmaker Kiccha adds that the film will be racy enough to keep audiences on edge of their seats, with a climax studded with breathtaking stunts.

Arjun’s Mei Kaan will be a thriller set in the backdrop of Malaysia and is directed by Major Ravi, who recently completed shooting for his multilingual movie Kandahar with superstars Mohan Lal and Amitabh Bachchan.

Superstars' Big Tickets From September

The first season of 2010 might not have been so promising for the film buffs, but you can expect a heavy downpour of big tickets from Superstars for the next half yearly period.

The additional goldrush in film’s veins will be the presence of Madhavan and Trisha. The film is scheduled for Diwali as Udhayanidhi Stalin plans to do so.

Kaval Kadhal: Beginning of Vijay’s new era. Is it worth ennobling Ilayathalapathy’s next release ‘Kaval Kadhal’ with such terms? A right one indeed! Neither gushing punch dialogues nor the timeworn ingredients of his yesteryear films will be prevalent here. So, what you have got to expect is all about fun, romance and emotions. Kaval Kadhal is also being planned to get released for Diwali.

Rattha Charithram: Suriya’s first multilingual film has a big way for him. Ever heard about a welcome before an arrival? Precisely, Suriya owns this fortune as even the celebrities of Hindi and Telugu film industry have become his ardent fans after watching the teasers. The film’s release has been postponed to October now.

Utthamaputhiran: Family entertainers have always found a right place in box office. On the button, Dhanush-Genelia D’ Souza starrer ‘Utthamaputhiran’ will be a sure-footed family entertainer as the Telugu version ‘Ready’ has been a successful forerunner. With star-casts’ number running to monstrous figures, the film is expected to have right mix of comedy, romance, family and more elements.

With so many films slated for the releases, the exhibitors and distributors are so confident that the next season will yield them best results.

Andrea joins dance classes

Actress Andrea is busy shaking her legs day and night. Know what? The actress has joined a dance class to develop the skills. Making her debut with ‘Pacchaikili Muthucharam’, Andrea never had an opportunity to dance. Even in the most overpowering song of ‘Oh Eesa’ of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, it was Reema Sen, who had more footage to dance. However, Andrea hasn’t given up the hope and is now vigorously gaining those skills.

The actress is now shooting for her upcoming film ‘Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’, in which she shares the screen space with Dhanush. The film is directed by Selvaraghavan and is produced by his father Kasthoori Raja under the banner of RK Productions.

Following the success of ‘Vettaikaran’ and ‘Singam’, the actress is now starring opposite Simbhu in the remake of Telugu movie ‘Vaanam’. She will be repeating the same role of original version while Simbhu will be seen in the role performed by Allu Arjun aka Bunny.

Recreating Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon in Kollywood

Filmmaker P. Vasu has been far-famed for his unstrained style of filmmaking and indeed fetching success on his shoulders. Winning the prestigious laurel wreath of wielding megaphone for Vishnuvardhan’s last film ‘Aaptha Rakshaka’, the filmmaker is back in Kollywood for ‘Puli Vesham’.

The film features actor RK (Ellam Avan Seyal and Azhagar Malai) in lead role with Sadha and Divya Viswanath starring opposite him in female lead roles. Recently, a newfangled stunt sequence was shot for the film, which is expected to be a trendsetting attempt in Indian film industry. It is about a stunt sequence of RK fighting down 25 baddies over a large tree without getting down on ground.

According to the sources, the film is about a person traveling to Chennai along with his ladylove (Divya). Since, they don’t find any proper place for accommodation; he fits her at a place across the branches of a tree. Meanwhile, the baddies are ready to attack them and the protagonist starts smashing them down without disturbing her sleep.

Songs Of The Boss Soon In Stores

Lots of surprising things are happening with ‘Boss Enginra Bhaskaran’. Of course, the film is treading on the predictable paths of success. The first reason that stands out as a reason is director Rajesh’s previous film ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’. The sang-froid entertainer topped in box office and raised everyone’s expectations on this film.

Secondly, it’s coming together of hot pairs Aarya-Nayanthara. Aarya, who has been spotted in offbeat kind of movies, will be performing full-fledged comedy roles in this movie. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s musical score is expected to be an added value. More than these attributes, Udhayanidhi Stalin embarking his new mission of marketing the film along with Aarya’s The Show People.

The film’s shooting was recently completed with a song sequence and the producers Udhayanidhi Stalin, K. Srinivasan, T. Siva and auditor Shanmugam was present congratulating each other.

The musical launch is being planned to be held by last week of August.

Sources also said that as the ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ combo has awed the audience with a biggest blockbuster like ‘Dasavatharam’ few years back and on the other side, Vijay will be coming with different looks and change in story line not like his previous films, much craze is going on among both the fans and kollywood town.

‘Mangaatha’ For Piggyback Ride With ‘Naan Mahan Alla’

Ajith Kumar’s 50th film ‘Mangaatha – Ulle Veliye’ took off this morning with a photo-shoot session in a studio near AVM. The entire technical crew of this film – Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan was present. Ajith Kumar was present in a sleek black silky shirt. The costume used during photo shoot itself was revealing that Ajith Kumar wouldn’t be spotted in clichéd costumes of blazers, which are considered as timeworn factors.Producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions has decided to screen first look teasers of ‘Mangaatha’ during the intermission of ‘Naan Mahan Alla’. Since, both the films are produced by the same banner; the producers have decided to create sensation with such factors.Recently, Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ had a teaser like photo shoot before the launch itself and has been telecasted in kalagnar TV. Before years, Vikram’s ‘Kanthaswamy’ had the teasers shot exotically and raised everyone’s expectations.

Vikram’s first Malayalam film

After much speculations about being in a Mollywood movie, Tamil superstar Vikram has decided to do his first Malayalam film for director Roshan Andrews. Roshan Andrews is the one who directed super hit movies like ‘Notebook’ and ‘Evidam Swargamanu’. He is also the director of ‘Udayanu Tharam’, which was later remade ‘Vellithirai’ in Tamil.
‘Cheeyan’ Vikram who never concealed his love for doing Malayalam films has finally decided on one. Roshan who had been an admirer of Vikram had met him last year in a function organised by a private channel. A few weeks back, they met again at a private function, where Vikram asked Roshan to suggest a good story in Malayalam so that he can take the plunge.
Few days later Roshan had sent a synopsis of a plot written by his writers Bobby-Sanjai. Vikram was immediately floored by the wonderful plot lines and immediately agreed to do it.
When Roshan discussed the remuneration part, Vikram is said to have told Roshan, “I will not take a single pie for the project. Let the film be my contribution to Malayalam cinema.” The project will off by the early 2011. Vikram has to complete his current projects and Roshan will also be ready by then finishing his much delayed film ‘Casanova’ with Mohanlal which is said to the costliest Malayalam film ever.

In Bollywood Vijay’S Romantic Film?

With more Hindi releases scheduled in August, some of them are doubted to be either partially remade or inspired from all-time hits of Tamil Cinema.

LAFANGEY PARINDEY:

The film is produced by Yash Raj Productions and features Neil Nithin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Neil Nithin Mukesh takes on the role of One Shot Nandu, who’s a raging street fighter and Deepika Padukone, a blind girl fixed to 9-5 desk job, but aspires to be a skater. Neil Nithin and his gang of friends now help Deepika Padukone to achieve her dreams. Though the characterizations are completely unparalleled, it looks more or less the same as Vijay-Simran starrer ‘Thullatha Manamum Thullum’.

Hello Darling:

The film is about three women from different social strata (played by Celina Jaitley, Isha Gopikkar and Gunal Pag), who are often troubled by their philandering boss. It’s up to these three women about teaching a fine lesson to their boss (Javed Jaffrey). The film is based on yesteryear Tamil film ‘Magalir Mattum’ that featured Revathy, Rohini and Urvasi in lead roles with Nasser as the baddie. Padmashree Kamal Haasan made his guest appearance during the climax sequence.

Already, there have been series of Tamil films being replicated into Hindi with some alterations that includes Akshay Kumar’s Kambakkht Ishq (Pammal K Sammadham), Housefull (Kadhala Kadhala) and some of the portions in his recent release ‘Khatta Meeta’ directed by Priyadarshan had the same uproarious encounters of house renovation drama in ‘Friends’.

Kushboo, Suhasini turn advisors

Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Kushboo, Revathi and Rohini are on the advisory panel of this year’s Chennai International Film Festival.

The Indo-Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF), which organised the festival for the last seven years, is this time joining hands for the cause with two powerful bodies- South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) and Film Federation of India (FFI).

According to E Thangaraj, secretary, ICAF, “the aim of the festival is to put Chennai on the global map of film festivals. The budget this year has been almost doubled when compared to that of last year, as we are planning to screen more films.”

He added: “Apart from the Woodlands multiplex, where we normally screen movies, SIFCC's theatre will be one more addition like last year. We are expecting support from the Tamil Nadu government and other bodies of Tamil cinema.”

Kamal Haasan's Smartest Plans

Kamal Haasan’s cherry pick of performing rehearsals before shooting has yielded results. Udhayanidhi Stalin might have planned to produce this film at a bigger budget, but Kamal Haasan has been efficient over completing the first schedule at Mediterranean Cruise within short span of time with accordance to planned schedule.

Soon after returning from the first schedule, the actor is spending day and night over completing the editing works and rerecording for the canned portions. Recently, Devi Sri Prasad completed scoring a tune in Chennai and the recording will be done shortly.

Meanwhile, the next schedule is expected to take off by end of August that will have 20% of pending scenes to be shot. As planned earlier, the film will hit screens for Diwali.

Two important persons in Tamannah’s life

Come what may, life is to live. Perhaps taking cue from this popular adage, Tamannah says she is not worried about rumours of an alleged romance with her ‘Paiyaa’ costar Karthi Sivakumar.

“Because I know what the truth is. We are just colleagues and we are going to act together in another film too. I can’t achieve my goals if I am bothered by these mindless rumours,” she says.

Saying she is not answerable to those spreading ‘rumours’ on her, Tamannah says the two persons she is accountable to are her mother and father. “They know pretty well what’s happening in my life.”

“The support from my parents has made me achieve something,” she says and adds: “But I am aware that there is still a long way to go. My aim is that I should act in all kind of roles before I call it a day.”
