Earlier news was that Vijay-A.R. Murugadoss project will be produced by S.A. Chandrasekhar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. Now we hear from the closer sources that Fox Star Studios is no more involved in the project and it will be individually produced by Vijay’s father S.A. Chandrasekhar.

Kannan to rope in Jayam Ravi next?

Director Kannan is as busy as a bee. The music launch of his upcoming film with Jiiva in the lead, 'Vandhaan Vendraan' was held recently. The audio disc is reported to be doing good sales, thanks to Thaman's music.

Now the director is gearing up for releasing the Telugu version of his Tamil film 'Kandein Kaadhalai.' This film starred Bharath and Tammannah in the lead and is the remake of the Hindi original 'Jab We Met,' that had Shahid and Kareena Kapoor in the lead.

Jayam Ravi, during the audio launch of 'Vandhaan Vendraan' had revealed openly that he would love to do a film with director Kannan, and it now looks like the former's wish is coming true. Director Kannan, has revealed that his next project in Tamil would be with Ravi, though the two have not yet sat down officially to discuss any script.

Since both Kannan as well as Ravi have expressed their desires to work together, albeit, individually, we soon expect this director to join hands with Ravi for his next film, nothing about which has been revealed yet.

Prabhu Deva's next big project in Bollywood

Prabhu Deva will be wielding the directorial baton for the Hindi remake of Karthi's Siruthai. His leading man will be Akshay Kumar. The film will be called Rowdy Rathore and will be produced by none other than award winning filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reigning Queen bee, Sonakshi Sinha has been chosen as the heroine.
Siruthai is a remake of Vikramakoodu starring Ravi Teja and Anushka. Both the films went on to become huge hits and this was mainly owing to the skill with which Karthi and Ravi Teja nailed the double role of a street smart rowdy and an honest cop. The makers feel that Akshay Kumar with his penchant for action and comedy will be the perfect choice for this role.
Prabhu Deva is confident that like Pokiri with Salman Khan this film will also be a smash hit.

Taapsee clarifies on 'Tanu Weds Manu' remake

Post 'Aadukalam' Taapsee Pannu has been receiving offers from good banners from the south as well as from Bollywood. The actress who made a foray into films in 2010 is performing pretty well what with more that half a dozen films in her kitty from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam as well as a Bollywood flick.

There were talks in the film circle that Taapsee would find herself a place in the heroine's slot for the Telugu remake of the successful Bollywood romantic comedy 'Tanu Weds Manu' that starred Madhavan and Kangana in the lead. Though there has not been any word about the Tamil remake of the film going on floors soon, the Telugu director is keen on remaking this film.

But Taapsee has declared that she is not a part of the film. The actress also said that though she was offered the role in the Telugu remake, she had turned down the offer because of time crunch and non-availability of dates.

Taapsee is currently shooting for a couple of Telugu films and a Bollywood film 'Chashme Badoor.' The actress is also looking forward to the release of her Tamil film 'Vandhaan Vendraan' where she will be seen sharing screen space with Jiiva.

Vaishali is as good as Eeram

Eeram has been dubbed in Telugu as Vaishali and the film was released to packed houses in Andhra Pradesh. Produced by popular Telugu producer Dil Raju, the film is garnering a lot of publicity due to which the producer has decided to increase the prints and release it in a lot more theaters.
The success of Vaishali is attributed to the dubbing, reports sources. With good voice sync, movie buffs have a feeling that they are watching a straight Telugu movie. Arivazhagan, the director of the film, is happy with the response. Vaishali stars Aadhi, Nanda, Sindhu Menon and Saranya Mohan.

Ko completes 100 days!

Shruti Haasan confirms about Dhanush’s project

Shruti Haasan has said that she was approached by Aishwarya Dhanush to play the female lead in the film that is to be directed by her. The actress revealed that she was excited about sharing the screen space with the national award winner Dhanush but unfortunately her dates did not match up with their requirements.
Since Shruti has a couple of projects that needs her attention at the moment, she could not sign up the Dhanush starrer to be directed by Aishwarya. The actress, however, wished the entire team all the very best. She has therefore confirmed that she will not be a part of the film.

I was always game for K'wood - Mamta

Two Tamil films in Mamta Mohandas's six year long career as an actress seems to have made a few think the actress doesn't prefer Tamil scripts and that she turns down K'town offers. An astonished Mamta opens up and says she was always game for Kollywood and Tamil scripts.

We all know the Prachi Desai story, and how this actress from Bollywood behaved towards Arun Vijay's 'Thadayara Thakka'. Prachi who initially gave a nod for the project, allocated dates for it, received an advance as well, cited quite silly reasons and walked out on the film.

The team then approached Mamta Mohandas of 'Sivapathigaram' and 'Guru En Aalu' fame who was only more than happy to grab the interesting offer.

It seems, the director had Mamta as a choice for the female lead while scripting the project but those close to him asked him not to bother approaching the heroine as she isn't keen on Tamil scripts, and it was only after Prachi's walkout, the director wanted to give his original choice a shot. Look's like that has worked well for the team... 

'Thadayara Thakka' does away from usual commercial entertainers that show how the hero and heroine met. In fact, in the very opening of the film, the lead pair is shown to be in love!

Hero commits suicide

Ajay committed suicide at his residence in Bengaluru. The actor was supposed to make his acting debut with Ambuli and film is almost ready with the post-production works going on.
The young actor, sources say, was in love with Sanam, who will also be making her acting debut with the same film, but the actress was not interested. The besotted Ajay took his life due to Sanam’s refusal, it is said. Ambuli is a 3D film directed by Harish Narayanan and Hari Shankar.
The film’s directors say that they are not aware if Ajay was in love with Sanam or not.

When will Velayudham release?

Vijay's film with Jayam Raja opposite Genelia and Hansika is heading for a Ramzan release, on August 31st. The film has shaped up very well according to those in the know. It is going to be a typical masala entertainer that has been inspired from one of Nagarjuna's superhit Telugu films. The film has been tailored so that there will be a little something for everybody and a lot for his hardcore fans.
The film has been produced by Aascar Ravichandran and will also be distributed by him. Word is that a lot of money has gone into making the song and action sequences. But the makers feel that the end product will be totally worth it. The music by Vijay Antony is also getting good reviews. Sony has brought the rights and will be releasing it.

Bala to work with Sarathkumar?

Director Bala was recently  very impressed with Sarathkumar's performance in Kanchana and expressed a desire to work with him. Sarathkumar was flattered because he  likes Bala's work. Since they have a mutual admiration society going for each other they decided to put their heads together and come up with a suitable project on which they could work together.
Unfortunately, nothing panned out as they are both busy individuals with too much on their plates already. So they parted ways, although they have promised each other that they will work together in future. It would definitely be great to see the talented duo in action together.

Its 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru' for Vijay - Gautham

Make way for another biggie, yes an official announcement has been made on the project for which Gautham Vasudev Menon and Ilayathalapathy Vijay are teaming up. Those who saw few of the leading newspapers would have definitely caught a glimpse of this film's advertisement.

Titled 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru', the film will see Vijay essaying protagonist, direction by Gautham Menon and production by the latter's banner, Photon Kathaas. This film is said to be a sci-fi thriller and boasts off a huge budget. The film will cater to Vijay's mass fans with Gautham perfect packaging.

However, the project will go on floors only in 2012, thanks to prior commitments of both Vijay and Gautham. "Other details related to the project are being worked out. Things will be made official soon", sources say.

AR Rahman is expected to compose music for 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru', which will be shot in foreign locales, including Gautham's favourite country, the United States. A top actress may be roped in to play the heroine.

Even before the film has gone on floors, a few sources say that the film will be a series and the name of the film is what that seems to have added to this buzz. Vijay is believed to play a secret agent in this film and we can see his super smart self in the film's poster.

Bulls attack B-town's Silk Smitha

We all know the tribute Vidya Balan is playing to yesteryear heartthrob Silk Smitha, through her forthcoming Hindi film, 'The Dirty Picture'. The film is a biopic on the life of our very own former sex-siren, Silk Smitha and the film is being directed by Milan Luthria.

During the shoot, Vidya Balan had worn a red dress for an outdoor shoot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, but this seems to have invited unwanted attention, and from whom? Two stray bulls!

Two stray bulls entered the sets and had the unit, including Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor, in splits who found it funny, but only until the bulls made a dash towards Vidya Balan, doubtlessly attracted by her bright red dress. Few of the local production guys intervened and shooed away the excited animals from the set.

The film is touted to hit the screens all over the country this November.

What is Vadivelu doing?

The headline of this snippet is one of the much asked questions in Kollywood in the recent times, after the DMK, which was supported by Vadivelu, was defeated in the elections. Well, here we have answer for the query, that too from the man in question himself.

"Film industry has not dropped me. In fact, I have taken a break from acting, due to some personal commitments. I have some works to do at home. After completing them, I will stand in front of the camera again", says the 'Vaigai Puyal'.

"Since I was busy acting in films for nearly two decades, I was unable to spend time with my family members. I am doing it now. There is a function in my house and we are getting ready for it", the comedian adds.

Vadivelu hit the headlines during April this year, after his charges and comments against DMDK president Vijaykanth that raised to many an eyebrow. He made a whirlwind tour all over Tamil Nadu, in support of the then ruling party.

Velayutham actor wants Amala Paul

Art director Veera Samar, who has acted in a couple of films, is all set to direct a film titled Maruvesham. Veera Samar is currently playing the role of a journalist in the Vijay starrer Velayutham and also has a role in Parthom Pazhaginom. For Maruvesham, Veera Samar is keen on roping in Amala Paul, as he feels she will be apt for the character he has in mind.
Talking about Maruvesham, Veera Samar says it is about a fan who imitates a film star and manages to stay with him. At one point of time, all those associated with the star begin to like the mannerisms of the fan which irk the celebrity. What happens to the fan forms the climax of Maruvesham.

SJ Suryah, the chief guest for Mallukattu

The audio launch of Mallukattu is scheduled to take place on 30^th July, 2011 at the Kamala Theatre complex in Chennai. Actor-director SJ Suryah will be the chief guest for this event.
Mallukattu’s producer and SJ Suryah are currently stationed in Kodaikanal for a story discussion and the two will travel down to Velankanni to seek the blessing of mother Mary and get back to Chennai right on time, for the audio launch.

Veteran actress Sukumari takes ill, hospitalized

Chechi, as she is adorably called in Kerala, has been hospitalized following a bout of high fever. The actress, it is believed, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital in Kodungallur, Thrissur. Sukumari is a diabetic.

Sukumari who was honoured with a Padma Shri Award in 2003 by the Indian Govt. for her extensive work in cinema has contributed to more than 2000 films in Tamil and Malayalam. In 2010 Sukumari won the National Award for the best actress in a supporting role for her performance in 'Namma Grammam.'

Sukumari has been facing the camera right from the time she was 10 years old. She has acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada as well as Hindi films and has done the dubbing in all the films she has acted in her own voice. She is now a regular in the small screens.

Music launch of '7am Arivu' soon?

It looks like it is raining audio launches in K'town this August. Just when IG reported the launch of Ajith's 'Mankatha' audio, here comes good news for all fans of Suriya out there that '7am Arivu' team is gearing up for its music launch soon after 'Mankatha's audio hits the stands.

Harris Jayaraj has done the music for this film and the audio album is touted to have 6 songs, inclusive of one song in Chinese.

We had informed you about Harris Jayaraj's association with mandarin singer Hau, from China for this film's music and the duo were quite comfortable working together. Harris had even revealed that he felt good when Hau was able to play one of his Tamil songs too.

The music launch of '7am Arivu' is being planned as a grand affair. The fans of Suriya are particularly looking forward to this because of reports leaking about the hero's dare devil acrobatic acts during the music launch. The actor will be seen in three different avatars in this film that are distinctly different from each other.

Sruthi Haasan will be making her foray into Kollywood as heroine with '7am Arivu.' This film is also believed to be very sophisticated in fight sequences and special effects, what with director A.R. Murugadoss roping in talent from the west for the CG.

Though there are no confirmed reports regarding the music release date, a part of the film circuit has revealed that the audio launch of '7am Arivu' will take place on August 20. Though this date has not been confirmed by anyone closely associated with the film, it has created unrest and eagerness among Suriya fans.

Priya Anand is two films old in Tamil cinema. She was first seen in Vaamanan and she followed this up with Nootrenbadu. Her third film is a biggie as she has managed to catch the eye of none other than Kamal Haasan himself. Apparently, the great actor was impressed with her talent and decided to cast her as the second lead in Viswaroopam!
For the main female lead he is still searching high and low all over the country. Sonakshi Sinha was the original choice but she had to bail out of the project. Some leading Bollywood belles are being considered. Priya Anand, however, is very happy that she has caught such a big break so early in her career.

Rakhi Sawant flirts with controversy again

In a move guaranteed to win her brickbats, Rakhi Sawant, who seems to enjoy stirring up trouble, has said that she will marry the day Swami Ramdev (who is no stranger to controversy himself) agrees to marry her. The reality TV Queen had earlier said that she wished to marry Rahul Gandhi but admitted that she has given up her dream because Sonia Gandhi would never allow it.
The former item girl is currently ready with a new reality show called Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaniyan. Salman Khan immortalized this character in Dabaang and as everybody knows he has one of the best bodies in the business. Singham on rampage

Singham starring Ajay Devgn and Kajal Agarwal is running to packed houses despite reviews that have slammed it. The film has already pulled in 50 crores and this has exceeded all trade predictions. This remake of the Tamil film by Hari with Suriya in the lead has proved yet again that the audiences love the repackaged versions  of the masala fare we serve down here in the South.
Director Rohit Shetty is very pleased with the success of the film which looks all set to be the biggest hit in Ajay Devgn's career. Kajal is also thrilled with the reception to the film and the positive feedback for her performance in it. There is no doubt that Singham is a winner!

'Nanban' - Not all is well?

Tension prevailed on the sets of 'Nanban', a Vijay-Srikanth-Jiiva starrer directed by Shankar, on Sunday, after a mob reportedly entered into the shooting spot and ransacked set properties. "Things came to control only after the police were called," sources say.

"When the cast and crew of Nanban were shooting on a college premises near Chennai, a gang of local residents came to the spot to have a glimpse of Vijay and others. The actor and director obliged to their demand and spent some time with them," say sources.

"But they refused to vacate the place and did not allow the crew to resume the shooting. This resulted in a verbal duel which turned into a messy fight. The mob damaged some of the set properties," sources add.

"As things went out of control, the police were given an alert. They immediately rushed to the spot and pacified the locals," sources further say, adding: "An extra cover of protection is now being given to Nanban shoot."

Taapsee in Maddy's Remake Film

Madhavan-Kangna Ranaut starrer ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ was a stupendous hit winning critical acclaims and spinning big profits for the producers. Initially, the film was supposed to be remade in Tamil and it was later dropped. However now, the producers in Telugu film industry have acquired the rights.

The film will have comedy actor Sunil in lead role, who won incredible laurels for his performance in lead role in ‘Maryaadha Ramana’. Earlier plans were to sign other actor, but Sunil became the ultimate choice with accordance to the success of ‘MR’.

Taapsee will be playing the female lead role of an adamant girl that was enacted by Kangna Ranaut and Devi Prasad will wield megaphone for the film, who had earlier churned out some comedy hit movies.

'Vilayadu Mankatha...' this August 10 - Breaking News

Finally, the much-anticipated 'Mankatha' audio release date is out and fans can now rejoice. The audio of 'Mankatha' will be unveiled on August 10, the producers and Sony Music have officially announced this news for eager thala fans who were growing restless about the audio release date and were eagerly awaiting it.

'Mankatha' that is directed by Venkat Prabhu has Ajith, Arjun, Trisha Krishnan, Lakshmi Rai, Andrea essaying lead roles and is a racy crime thriller. Ajith will don a never-seen-before sort of role with pure negative shades, thala, sports a salt-pepper sort of hair style like a George Clooney look in this film.

The film will see an August release as earlier reported and is one of the two most-awaited films so far this year, the other being Ilaya Thalapathi's 'Velayudham', which is also by Sony Music.

'Vedi' at Howrah

'Vedi' that is being directed by Prabhu Deva features Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles and is currently in it's production stage. The film is the remake of the Telugu super hit 'Souryam' which had Gopichand and Anushka Shetty essay the lead roles.

A dance number featuring the actress has been shot recently at the Howrah Bridge in Kolkata.  Although Prabhu Deva is directing this film, it is said that Brinda is the one who has choreographed this peppy track.

Speaking on this dance sequence, Sameera expressed that it is not easy to get the moves of this ace choreographer. She also added that the moves are great in this number and it would sure become a rage.

The film is gearing up for a diwali release and was earlier titled 'Prabhakaran' but recently saw a title change to 'Vedi' recently. It may be mentioned that Sameera's 'Vettai' where she is sharing screen space with Madhavan is also taking shape and will see light of the day this Diwali...

Veteran actor Ravichandran passed away on Monday (July 25) after suffering from Lung infection. Aged 71, he is survived by his wife, daughter and two sons. Doctors had tried their best to revive his health, but everything went in vain. As per reports from the doctors, they have mentioned that his pulse and blood pressure dropped and the condition became terrible.

The actor holds special mention for being a part of several hit movies that starts from Sridhar’s ‘Kadhalikka Neramillai’ and continued to act alongside next-gen actors: Superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan and many more. Charmi loses on a Hindi film?

'Zilla Ghaziabad' is an upcoming Bollywood film with a host of stars to the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Vivek Oberoi in the cast. Some reports indicate that Minisha Lamba and Charmee Kaur too had been roped in to play female leads in this film, following which, there is a buzz in Bollywood circles now that Charmi has been dropped from the cast of 'Zilla Ghaziabad.'

Charmi who made her Tamil debut in 'Kadhal Azhivathillai' which was also Simbu's debut as a protagonist in Tamil cinema, was acknowledged in Bollywood with her presence in the recently released Big B film 'Buddah Hoga Tera Baap' where she played Raveena's daughter.

While there are talks about Charmi being dropped from this project, the actress revealed that she is still reading the script of 'Zilla Ghaziabad' but she is not too sure if she would even be a part of this film! She also added that there are no issues so far and she wants to take a careful step and choose the right second film in Bollywood so she can retain the position she achieved in her first.

Dhanush to sport three looks in 'Irandam Ulagam'

Grapevine has it that Dhanush will sport three different looks in the project he is working along with his brother, Selvaraghavan, tentatively titled 'Irandam Ulagam'.

The first of which is a young look where Dhanush sports a single earring stud, and has a more cool appeal, the second look has him sport a beard making the look give a whole gloomy appeal. The third one is something few of us have seen, Dhanush with a thick mustache giving a whole mature touch to his character.

Although expectations are raving high on this Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay starrer, the makers are keen about not revealing any information on the characters or the script. In fact, the announcement that 'Irandam Ulagam' is only the work title of the film has led to further expectations...

Sonu Sood's tips for Simbu's six pack

Simbu is busy with his upcoming Bollywood remake film 'Osthi' which will see him as a cop with oodles of attitude. Salman who starred in the Hindi original fit the role perfectly. Now Simbu too is leaving no stones unturned to do complete justice to the role he is playing in 'Osthi.' right from the dialect that he will be speaking in the film to his fitness aspect and looks, the actor is taking care of everything to perfection.

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse, once regarded as the brightest young star in music, has died at the age of 27 of a suspected drug overdose. Her death follows years of widely publicized addiction to drugs and alcohol, which saw Winehouse fade from the height of her musical success and become more talkedabout for her physical decline.

Sadha's foray into Bollywood

We saw her opposite Vikram in 'Anniyan' which made waves all over. 'Unnale Unnale' with Vinay is her last released film in Tamil. Yes, we are discussing Sadha and her upcoming films. The actress has a couple of good projects in Telugu and Kannada.

Bindhu Madhavi dons the role of a sex commercial worker

Veppam is a film of a title being produced by Gowtham Menon under the banner Photon Kathaas banner. This film has Karthik Kumar, Nani, Nithya Menon, Bindhu Madhavi and Muthukumar in the cast. Prabhu has penned the dialogues. Anjana who has written the story and screenplay is also directing this film. The film is hitting the screens on 29th of this month.

Bindhu Madhavi while speaking about this film said, " I am donning the role called Viji. My role is of a sex commercial worker. It was a different kind of experience because I was staying in Chennai slums and acting thee. Many threatened me because I am donning the role of a sex commercial worker in my first film itself. I acted in this role keeping confident on the script. In truth, It was very challenging for me to act in this role. It was comfortable to act in this film since I was working with a woman director. There are no forcible kissing scenes or bedroom sequences in this film. This is thriller film with action and suspense. "
Anjana while speaking about this film said, " This film is about the incidents and the solutions that happen in the lives of mechanic Karthik Kumar, sign board writer Muthukumar, student Nani, sex worker Bindhu Madhavi and Nithya Menon who works in a Xerox shop."

Kajal clears misconceptions

Controversies seem to find a way to reach Kajal Agarwal. The girl was recently in news for a few remarks, which she later clarified as misquoted. This was about a daily publishing her quote saying she never considered herself a South Indian actress, later Kajal apologized and specified it was misquoted.

Just when all is well and she has clarified that she never spoke anything like this, another controversy seems to have sparked off.

Kajal is currently in Chennai for the shooting of KV Anand's next, titled 'Maatraan', where she is cast opposite Suriya Sivakumar.

It was buzzed about the actress that she was involved in a physical fight with her Telugu film co-star, Naga Chaitanya, with whom she is working on 'Dhada'! K S Ravikumar says "no Government can eradicate video piracy"

Rowthiram is a film which has Jeeva in the lead role. This film is being produced by Super Good Films R B Chowdary. Shriya is pairing with Jeeva in this film. The audio CD of this film was recently released in Chennai.

Arya who participated in this function while speaking said, "Shriya is an actress who dedicates herself for acting. I am not joking. I am saying this seriously. I am saying this because I have the experience acting with her in a film. Shriya has born for cinema only. I am telling this seriously." When Arya was praising Shriya, Shriya, Jeeva and Jayam Ravi who were sitting in the stage burst into laughter. Arya also joined them in laughing. Jayachitra to don CM's role

In Kannada the film is titled 'Attahasa' which means maniacal laughter in Kannada and in Tamil it is titled 'Vanayudham.' Kishore who donned a negative shade in Vetri Maaran's National Award winning film 'Aadukalam' will be shouldering the titular role in this film.

The makeover of Kishore as forest brigand Veerappan in this biopic film will trace 40 years of the late sandalwood smuggler's life and will also unearth many unknown aspects of his life which were never made public so far.

Arjun will play the role of IPS officer Vijayakumar, and there are now confirmed reports that actress Jaya Chitra will be donning the role of the present Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha, in whose period the elephant poacher was killed in a well-planned encounter. The film will also depict the episodes of Dr. Raj Kumar's kidnap. There are also reports that Bollywood actor Suresh Oberoi might essay the role of the Kannada actor.

There is also a buzz that National Award winning actress Priyamani or Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee might be roped in to play the role of Veerappan's wife, Muthulakshmi. Many who were involved with the Veerappan's capture in real life are helping the director by supplying apt evidences in making the film. Divya Spandana refutes rumours on marriage

It looks like rumours find a way of focusing on South Indian actress Divya Spandana. Buzz is now about the actress' marriage with her longtime European boyfriend Raphel. The smoke on this began to bellow when the actress was spotted with Raphel during the 100th day celebrations of the actress' film 'Sanju Weds Geetha.'

Seeman’s upcoming film ‘Pagalavan’ has a different character for Vijay, which of course is something new and unexpected from him. Yes, the actor will be playing the role of a doctor. Earlier it was mentioned that the film has been dropped as Vijay was linked with the projects of A.R. Murugadoss and Gautham Menon.

But now we hear that Seeman has made some changes to the script and will soon start shooting for the film once done with ‘Velayudham’ and ‘Nanban’.

Utv in Deal for 'Mankatha'?

It looks like Ajith Kumar’s ‘Mankatha’ will overtake Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Endhiran’ in terms of release. Well we meant in terms of the announcements of several release dates. It has been a long travelled journey for the film as everyone from the team keep coming up with contradictory dates.

It soon became a perfect gateway for relentless rumours and as they exceed the limits, Dayanidhi Azhagiri, producer of the film gets down to the clarification saying that it’s a baseless rumour and the film will be released in August without fail.

According to the sources closer to Sony BMG, it is revealed that the mastering of final copy is going on while the audio launch is still unconfirmed.

Cinema 2011 ... Release until June 65 ... Net just eight!

The Kollywood half yearly report card (January 1 to June 30) indicates that it is a mixed bag for the industry. The number of hits is few though there were 65 straight Tamil releases. The films classified as hits taking all rights into consideration are the following in alphabetic order- Aadukalam, Avan Ivan, Kaavalan and Vaanam.

Kannada actress Praneetha has donned the female lead role in the film Udhayan. Now she has been signed to pair with Karthi in the film titled Saguni.

There is also news that she will be pairing with Vijay in a film to be directed by A R Murugadoss. Vijay is currently acting in the film Velayudham directed by Jayam Raja.
When the fact is that there is no official announcement regarding Vijay joining hands with Murugadoss, where is the question of Praneetha pairing with Vijay.
