Shruthi Haasan says that her father Kamal Haasan has given her full freedom

Kamal Haasan’s daughter is now a popular actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Ezham Arivu in which she has paired with Surya was released for Deepavali and is doing well at the box office. Now she is pairing with Dhanush in the film titled 3 directed by Aishwarya. Apart from this she is acting I two Telugu films.

Recently while speaking with the media, she said, "In my life I can make any decision on my own. My father Kamal has given full freedom with regard to this. In that way I feel that I am a very lucky person. I have self confidence because I have money.
I have understood that hard work and dedication is important for great success. I am taking every step in my life as pr my wish. I myself lead my own way. In certain matters I use to ask the opinion of my parents. But the final decision will be mine."

Why Karthi’s heroine loves Sandalwood

Actress Pranitha says the she likes to act in more number of Kannada films. Pranitha debuted as heroine through the Tamil film Udhayan and she is currently pairing with Karthi in Saguni. She who is also acting in Telugu films while speaking to the media said, "I have paired with Kannada actor Darshan.

It is great pride for me to act with him. Many are asking me about the incident that happened recently in his family life. I don’t know anything about that. He is a popular actor and because of this problem his popularity has not gone. The film which was released after his family problem is doing well at the box office. Then why I should be reluctant to act with him. After all I am just acting with him. What is wrong in this?
Though I am acting in Tamil and Telugu films, I am interested to act in more number of Kannada films because I am a Kannada film. My friends can express their opinions only if I act in Kannada films. They will not have the chance of seeing Tamil or Telugu films. That is why I feel that I should act in more number of Kannada films. But there is no call sheet for Kannada films because I am busy with other language films."

Ra.One slows down at Box Office due to Velayudham, 7aam Arivu

The dubbed version of Shahrukh Khan’s biggest-ever film, Ra.One got a decent opening at the Tamil Box Office. The collections of the multilingual film was slowed down due to other Kollywood releases like Vijay starrer Velayudham and Surya’s 7aam Arivu.

The South Indian versions comprising Tamil and Telugu were released on October 26 with 250 prints. On its opening day, Ra.One approximately collected Rs 2 to 2.5 crore and fetched four crore in next 2 days totalling its net to Rs 6 crore in South India. The movie was largely affected by Velayudham and 7aam Arivu, as they occupied 400 screens in Tamil Nadu.
Trade analysts claim that the collections of the dubbed versions of Ra.One seem to be good, as it faced tough competitions from Vijay and Surya starrer films. They further added that Rajinikanth’s cameo in the movie has become a major attraction for the South audience to watch the film.
However, Vijay’s Velayudham is said to be topping the Tamil Box Office chart even after getting released in less number of theatres comparatively with 7aam Arivu.

Lingusamy says Vettai will have the ‘Rajini’ effect

Director-producer Lingusamy has hinted that his upcoming directorial venture Vettai would have the irresistible ‘Rajini effect’. The director, who has made successfully films like Anandam, Run, Sandakozhi and Paiyaah to his credit, is presently making Vettai which has Madhavan, Aarya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in lead roles.

It is strongly rumoured in Kollywood that the script of Vettai would have the essence of the director’s earlier films and would also have the resemblance of a ‘Rajini-starrer’. When queried about this rumour, Lingusamy said that Vettai is nothing but the ‘coming together’ of all of his successful films in the past.
“Vettai has all the necessary ingredients which go into making a commercial pot-boiler. It has equal doses of action, comedy, romance and sentiment which have always been liked by the masses. Right from my childhood, I have grown up watching superstar Rajinikanth’s several super-hit movies. As such, I have a fair idea as to what the masses would like to watch on screen.
“Whenever I write the script for a film, I used to put myself into the shoes of the fans and the audience and would set the screenplay as per their liking. I have followed the same trend for Vettai too. I’m sure it’d be loved and patronized by the audience in a big way,” concludes Lingusamy.

Vijay appears as Rajini & Kamal

There is a scene in 'Nanban', the Shankar-directed Tamil remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots', which would make the lovers of Tamil cinema to jump with joy. And we have interesting details about it.
"In a song sequence, Vijay would appear in the get-ups made by top stars of Kollywood, and this includes Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. This is a joint effort by Shankar and Vijay to pay tributes to the veterans," say sources in the know.
"Vijay will appear in the 'Enthiran' robot get-up of Rajini and 'Indian' looks of Kamal. This will be the highlight of the song, in which the Ilayathalapathy will be seen in other interesting get-ups too," the sources further say.
Remember Shankar, who directed 'Sivaji The Boss' with Rajinikanth, made the Superstar imitate MGR, Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Haasan in the lead scene to the 'Adhiradikaran...' song. It looks like he is now planning something similar with Vijay.

Another Kannada actor, Prasantha, accused of assaulting wife

After Sandalwood star Darshan was hauled up for beating his wife, another actor from the industry has allegedly committed the same offence.

Actor Prasanth of Orata I Love You fame is allegedly absconding after assaulting his wife Shashirekha.

The accused had been slapped with a case of dowry harassment at the Halasuru Gate Women's Police Station last month. However, since then, she claims that she received no help on the matter from the cops.

On Monday (October 24, 2011), Shashirekha learnt that her husband has been living with another woman. She barged into the flat and dragged him to the local Sanjaynagar Police Station, but the actor reportedly jumped the compound wall of the police station and managed to escape.

"He used to beat me up severely earlier, but last month he crossed the line. That is why I approached the Halasuru Gate Women's Police cell. Since then, he left home and was on the run. I came to know that he has been staying in Dollars Colony with another woman," said Shashirekha.

Following this incident, Shashirekha claims that the cops at the Sanjaynagar police station refused to listen to her pleas and did not arrest Prasanth. Later, she approached Police Commissioner Jyotiprakash Mirji.

Shashirekha has filed a complaint against the Sanjaynagar police station with the police commissioner office for assisting in her husband's escape.

Sources from the Sanjaynagar police station, however, claimed that the couple never came to the station.

The matter is now under investigation and the actor is untraceable.

Prashanth and Shashirekha have been married for eight years and have a five-year-old child. After gaining recognition for his movie Orata I Love You, other movies starring Prashanth - Maharshi, Anjadiru and Sampigeya - bombed.

Vijay, a James Bond in 'Yohan'

Gautham Vasudev Menon is doing four projects at a time - 'Neethane En Ponvasantham', which he is simultaneously making in three languages (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi), and the Hindi remake of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya', titled 'Ek Dhivana Dha'.
After completing these films, he will move on to 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru', his first venture with Vijay. "Some rumour mills have it that Gautham is toying with the idea of coming out with a movie every two years in this series, like Yohan Adhyayam Irandu and Yohan Adhyayam Moondru but the director has remained tight-lipped about these.
"Vijay plays an international agent in this flick," Gautham says and adds: "Yohan Adhyayam Ondru will deal with one of the assignments he does in a foreign country. It will chronicle two months of the protagonist's life."
On what made him to join hands with the Ilayathalapathy, Gautham says, "We both wanted to work together for a long time, but things didn't take shape.  This time we were sure not to miss the opportunity and made an announcement on Yohan."

Vairamuthu pens six songs for Viswaroobam

It is not new for Kamal and Vairamuthu to join hands. But the treat that Kamal gives Vairamuthu each time they meet is something special.
Sometimes he gives him coffee brought from Brazil and sometimes it could be Andhra special chicken.

At times Vairamuthu would be served with the fruits brought from European countries. So every visit Vairamuthu meets Kamal there will be something special for him.
Vairamuthu himself as mentioned about this special treats on various occasions and interviews. This time they both met on the next day of Deepavali. You know what treat Kamal gave Vairamuthu.

It was Common Sandpiper Curry. This is a bird which is called in Tamil as Ullaan birds. The shooting of Viswaroobam is now taking place in a factory in Poonamallee near Chennai. Ullaan birds are commonly available in Poonamallee.

These birds were purchased and cooked. Kamal who invited Vairamuthu to the shooting spot served with him Ullaan curry. This has stirred Vairamuthu’s nostalgic younger days. Then after tasting the food both of them were speaking for a long time.

Kamal Haasan then showed the sequences of Viswaroobam which was shot so far. Vairamuthu after seeing the 40 minutes footage appreciated Kamal for his different story and his astounding acting and technology.

There are six songs in this film. One of the songs is penned by Kamal himself and the remaining 5 songs are written by Vairamuthu. Shankar Mahadevan is composing the music.

It will be remembered that Radha herself made her debut with Karthik in Bharathiraja's famous film, Alaigal Oyvathilai. However, Radha has said that the reports were false and that her second daughter is too young to enter films. So for now she will focus on Karthika's career in addition to her hotel business.
Mani Rathnam meanwhile is still searching for a suitable heroine for Gautham.

Karthi's Bollywood Remake Receives Huge Response

While Bollywood is going gaga over the remaking spree of South Indian movies, here comes the latest one to join the bandwagon. Well, this film has been a tremendous hit in both Telugu and its Tamil remake. Ravi Teja-Anushka Shetty starrer ‘Vikramakudu’ turned to be a huge hit in box office. Apparently, the Tamil remake starring Karthi and Thamannah had over the top results getting Karthi into A-league.

It was a long time ago, Prabhu Deva had signed a project for the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The veteran filmmaker had insisted Prabhu Deva to come up with a 100% entertainer with the South Indian flavor. Finally the duo lands up with this remake titled as ‘Rowdy Rathore’ that carries the tagline ‘Faulad Ki Aulad’. After a long sabbatical gap, we have Akshay Kumar ‘The Khilladiyon Khilladi’ striking back in action role.

Soon as the first look poster of the film was released, the response was awesome and the fans have already started to keep their expectations. The film has already started rolling and is scheduled to hit screens during second week of June 2012.

'Am I Stereotypical?' – Actor Vijay

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is brimmed with extreme joy over the grand success of his recent release ‘Velayudham’. The film was released with 500 prints and much impressed with the grand presentation, the demand has increased for the prints and Aascar Ravichandran is very much excited.

Actor Vijay along with director Raja and music director Vijay Anthony was present for the media interaction session last evening. While addressing the media channels, actor Vijay said, “I am very much disappointed to hear that I have been performing stereotypical roles, which is absolutely false. ‘Kaavalan’ wasn’t my style of movie as it didn’t have any punch dialogues, opening song. I didn’t use my Makkal Iyakkam flag during climax of ‘Velayudham’. ‘Nanban’ is completely different from my usual films.”

Actor Vijay is sure as shooting stars with his upcoming movies that includes ‘Nanban’ scheduled to hit screens for Pongal followed by Gautham Menon’s ‘Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru’ scheduled for Diwali 2012.

VELAYUDHAM MOVIE REVIEW

Starring: Vijay, Genelia, Hansika Motwani, Saranya Mohan, Santhanam
Direction: Jeyam Raja
Music: Vijay Antony
Production: Aascar Films

Vijay is back to what he does best; mass entertainers, and what better time to unveil a mass entertainer than Diwali. With the music already a rage, the excitement was palpable as fans headed in droves to theatres on the festival of lights.

Velayudham is seen in many ways as a comeback to triumphant ways for Vijay. Yes, Kaavalan was a respite, but it is Velayudham that will more or less decide whether the tried and tested formula that have been followed for Vijay starrers for almost a decade can still hold the audience.

Lets make things clear first, Velayudham holds no surprises in the premise or the central conflict. It is not only something that is seen in a large percentage of commercial entertainers, it is also along lines that are very similar to quite a few earlier Vijay films. But, Vijay films have always been about his presence making things much more exciting than they appear to be in the script.

Velayudham deals with ‘one man saving the society from evil forces’ premise. Yes, we have seen it many times before. Here, the story is about how and why the man rises, how Velu becomes Velayudham. Once he has risen there is no looking back as he hunts down one bad man after the other, but that also earns him enemies who are nothing short of bloodsucking vampires. How does that affect his personal life and how he puts an end to what he began?

As you might guess, the seat of action is Chennai, cinema’s chosen city to portray all corrupt people in Tamil Nadu and the messiah is one who arrives from the village knowing nothing about the notoriety of the big bad city. Of course, he soon finds out and decides that it is better to react than be subdued. And, there is a generous dose of brother-sister sentiment thrown in.

Déjà vu anyone! Well, don’t mind that because Raja has woven a script that makes you forget all this and concentrate only on the screen. The first half is really a joyride, especially for Vijay fans as he is introduced as the fun loving, mischievous young man who will  go to any lengths to make his sister (Saranya Mohan) happy. Vijay is an absolute livewire, be it in the electric dance sequences or the enjoyable comic exchanges, first involving Parotta Suri and M.S.Bhaskar and later with the extremely effective Santhanam. Of course, the director has not failed to keep pushing the central plot ahead steadily to leave the interval intriguingly poised. The second half arrives with more of action than anything else. Yes, there is place for a bit of romance and also some cleverly placed comedy sequences late into the half, but on the whole action does dominate. Again, as we have seen repeatedly with commercial films, it is the overdose of the action element, especially projecting the hero as an unassailable superhuman that makes viewing a bit difficult. Velayudham too falls prey to the same errors, though not to the irrecoverable extent that many other movies have fallen. Raja intersperses high octane action with a couple of well placed songs (Molachu Moonu and Rathathin Ratham) and a very sentimental pre-climax portion to keep the audience from feeling action weary. But, the dominant feeling as the end credits start to roll is that a racy and intelligent climax (not that the one now is non-inttelligent) instead of the hero’s mass appeal and a preachy message would have made the movie much better.

Raja has done a fine job of mixing all the elements that go towards making a mass hero film, though he has lost the balance a bit in the last hour. His adeptness at placing comedy, romance, sentiment and the mandatory 5 songs into a script that has an alter-ego(istic) superhero should be commended. Nothing looks out of place, as we enjoy Santhanam’s wisecracks, Vijay’s dances and the brother-sister sequences. It is a while since we have seen Vijay excel in an emotionally heavy scene, Raja gets it out of the actor, in Velayudham. Also, placing 5 songs in a movie with none of them sticking out like a sore thumb is quite an achievement; though we should say that Vijay’s presence is a major factor in ensuring this.

Everyone in front of the camera has done a fine job. Vijay is sprightly, energetic and every bit the way we love to see him. He has experimented a bit with his look in the songs and they have come out well. Hansika is there in many scenes, but for most parts is a silent spectator, being called upon once in a while, mostly for glamour. She does not look out of place as a village girl, but the makers’ claim that she would remind  us of Khushboo is an overstatement. Genelia gets quite a significant part and looks convincing. A laugh is guaranteed every time Santhanam is on screen. Saranya Mohan too deserves a round of applause for being good enough to make the audience feel the depth of the siblings’ bond.

During most of the talkie portions, the camera strictly adheres to the requirements. Some well shot scenes within a train are worth mentioning. But, it is in the songs that the lens turns on the magic. At least a couple of them are visual treats. The capture of landscape for Molachu Moonu is delectable. Action too has been designed well. Though the movie is of the superhero type, the fights have not been taken to those levels; keeping them down to plausible levels (by commercial cinema standards). Dialogues too deliver the occasional punch and there is one particular reference to the rather benign ways of India.

Velayudham is a regular commercial entertainer which shows one man rising for the masses to right the wrongs in society. Yes, we have seen this kind of movie many times. But, a deftly written script keeps us engaged on screen for most parts until Raja gives into the temptations of adding extra mass appeal to a film that is already built around it. There are many scenes that instantly remind us of films seen earlier, but Viijay’s presence makes up for these glitches. There are also a few instances where the dialogues have political overtones (or are we imagining things, given the nature of the season). If the director had steered clear of these elements and concentrated on building a solid last hour which did not rely too heavily on the leading man’s charisma to carry it off, Velayudham would have been an even better end product.

Verdict: Regular mass entertainer spiced up by Vijay.

Samantha fails to impress Mani Ratnam?

Grapevine has it that Samantha was called for a screen test by India’s ace director Mani Ratnam but she did not get the coveted role. The actress is busy with the Gautham Menon directed trilingual Nee Thaane En Pon Vasantham when she got a call from Mani’s office, say sources.
Excited to be called for a screen test, Samantha rushed for it only to be told eventually that she did not fit in. Mani Ratnam is planning to launch Karthik’s son Gautham as hero and is still scouting for a suitable heroine. He is yet to find one, say sources from Kollywood.

Velayutham, more prints

The tremendous response for Velayutham has led producer, Aascar Ravichandran to make more prints. The film took a grand opening on Diwali day and being a mass commercial entertainer, fans and especially family audiences are eager to watch Vijay on the big screen.
Velayutham’s success has its director Jayam Raja completely satisfied and he has reaffirmed his position as a commercial director who can be banked upon for some great entertainment.
The film has Genelia and Hansika as the leading ladies with Santhanam in charge of the comedy.

Velayudham isn’t rip-off of Telugu movie Azad

Jayam Ravi, who is directing his first movie outside his home banner, has clarified the rumours, which claimed that his Velayudham is a rip-off of Telugu blockbuster Azad. The filmmaker has said that the upcoming Tamil movie is not a remake of the Tollywood film.
The director says that he was somewhat inspired by Azad but he penned the original script for Velayudham on his own. He took only a small portion of the Telugu film and rest other story was written by him. Jayam Raja further explains that the director of the original film, Tirupathi Swamy was his friend and he narrated the story to him before approaching Nagarjuna.
Jayam Raja says that he just took a thread of it and etched the complete story. Hence, he believes that Velayudham is not a remake. However, to be on the safer side, he purchased the remake rights of Azad, concludes the filmmaker.
Velayudham starring Vijay, Genelia D’Souza and Hansika Motwani is a superhero movie, which is hitting the screens for Diwali.

Vijay is a dance master's delight - Ashok Raja

When it comes to Vijay's introductory songs that have major significance to his fans, ace choreographer Ashok Raja is the favourite master of several filmmakers in tinsel town. Ashok has worked in many of Vijay's earlier films including 'Pokkiri', 'Villu', 'Sivakasi', 'Vettaikkaran' and the songs were all massive hits.

He also bagged a State award for 'Thirumalai', which is again a Viay starrer. Hence roping him for 'Velayudham' for Ilayathalapathy's introduction song did not come as a surprise!

The actor's opening number 'Sonna Puriyadhu Sollukkul Aangadhu...' composed by Vijay Antony has been choreographed by Ashok Raja.  Touted to be the costliest song ever made with a budget of 2 crores, the number was canned near Pollachi with thousands of dancers and junior artistes taking part in it.

"Director Raja wanted the song in a grand manner and it was not a mere opening song. It has a lot of bearing in the script. Though it was a big task to control the entire group, Vijay being a dance master's delight and his dancing abilities are well known, I could complete it without much hassle", Ashok says. Vikram to sizzle with Reema & Shriya!

Earlier the producers of the film were planning to shoot this sizzling and glamorous song in never-seen-before locations in Japan. But due to various technical problems, it has now been changed to the picturesque Tuscany area in Italy.

Andrea dubs for Ileana’s character in Nanban

Not often girls with a pretty face possess an hour-glass figure; it’s even more a rarity that a girl with a pretty face and a figure-to-die-for owns a beautiful voice. The case of Andrea Jermaiah is, therefore, a unique one. Andrea, who debuted in films with Gautham Menon’s Pachchaikili Muthucharam, is also a much-in-demand playback singer who has sung many hit songs including t including the Idhuvarai… number from number from Venkatprabhu’s Goa.

She now debuts as a dubbing artiste with director Shankar’s upcoming film Nanban. Andrea dubs for the film’s heroine Ileana who makes a comeback in Tamil films many years after debuting as an actress with Kedi. Ileana is paired opposite Vijay in the film, a remake of the Hindi hit film 3 Idiots, which also co-stars stars like Jiiva, Srikanth, Anuya, Sathyaraj and SJ Suriyah.
The curvaceous Ileana reprises the role essayed by Bollywood’s Kareena Kapoor in the original version. Shankar, who had been looking for the ‘right voice’ to dub for Ileana’s character in the film, zeroed in on Andrea’s voice. Though Andrea is busy with her acting and singing careers, she couldn’t say ‘no’ to Shankar’s offer to dub for Ileana in his upcoming film.
“I agreed to dub for Ileana’s character in Nanban mainly because it’s a project by a director of Shankar’s caliber. I feel that dubbing for an artiste who plays the lead role in his film is almost like acting in his film under his direction,” says a proud Andrea.
Who knows, Shankar might rope in Andrea as the heroine in his next film itself!

Trisha doesnt like action-heroine roles

Trisha is basking in the glory of the success of her latest film Mankatha opposite Ajith. The multi-starrer film, which was Trisha’s 40th film in her career, was also the landmark 50th film for Ajith. The film, which had many stars including Arjun, Andrea, Anjali, Lakshmi Rai and Bollywood’s Kainaat Arora besides Ajith and Trisha, was directed by Venkatprabhu and had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Trisha says that her physique would never allow her to take on those action-heroine roles like Vijayashanti. “I’m very happy with what I have been doing for the past few years. It’s a fact that my body and the way it has been built won’t allow me to take on action-based roles. I’m quite content in playing the romantic heroine roles for now.
Presently in the final stage of shooting of her upcoming Telugu flick titled Bodyguard (remake of the Tamil hit Kaavalan), Trisha has also committed herself to doing Samaran in Tamil opposite Vishal. This would be the first time Vishal and Trisha, who are best off-screen buddies, are paired opposite each other in a film.
She is also having ‘Ganga’, a Telugu film, in her kitty and is also said to be seriously thinking of making another attempt at clicking in Bollywood with her second Hindi film. Readers might recall that her debut Hindi film titled Khatta Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar nose-dived at the box-office last year.

Sameeras parents against her desire

Some time back, actress Sameera Reddy had expressed her long-held desire to own a sprawling house in Chennai’s ECR Road, one of the most-loved places in the city. It now appears that her dream of owning a house in Chennai would remain a mere dream as the idea has so far not met with the approval of her parents.

Sexy Sameera, who is a busy-bee in Hindi films with quite a few projects on hand, had her Vedi opposite Vishal releasing a few weeks back. The actress hasn’t had any super-duper hit in Tamil except for her debut film Vaaranam Aayiram opposite Suriya. Despite the publicity glitz indulged in by Sun Network whose Sun Pictures distributed Vedi, the film has only managed a lukewarm response from the members of the public.

As such, Sameera is hoping her upcoming Vettai opposite Madhavan and directed by Lingusamy would be the super-hit she had been looking for a while now. The film has another pair in Aarya and Amala Paul. In her free time, she is said to be assisting her favourite director Gautham Vasudev Menon in the making of Needhanae En Ponvasantham starring Jiiva and Samantha in lead roles.

Talking about her shattered dream vis-à-vis owning a house in Chennai, Sam sas, “My parents are already upset with me that I’ve been spending many number of days in a month in Chennai to fulfill my shooting commitments. As we already own a house in Mumbai, my parents are not likely to approve my idea of purchasing a house in Chennai,” says Sameera.

Won’t it be Chennai’s loss to miss out in having a beautiful girl as its permanent resident?

Suriya to do a film with Bala!

It was Bala who gave Suriya two of the most memorable movies in his career- 'Nandha' and 'Pithamagan'. After a gap, the director and the actor seems to have decided to come together again. This has been confirmed by a person no lesser than Suriya himself.

"Talks are currently on (with Bala). We will soon decide on what will be our next venture and when will we do it. I am eager to do a film with Bala again," says Suriya, who was seen doing a cameo in the National award winning director's recent movie, 'Avan Ivan'.

On not acting in films directed by newcomers, the actor says, "That's because established directors could have a firm grip on the medium and they are able to clear all our doubts as and when they crop up. I am not saying new directors are less talented. But I am cautious."

"I would sure do a film with a debutant director if I get a right opportunity," Suriya says and adds: "These days, producers believe that the business of my movies has reached new heights. I don't want to shatter their hope. So I am working with popular filmmakers."

All is well for Ileana, Farah Khan

Leading lady Ileana landed in controversy recently with rumours afloat about her attitude on the sets of Nanban in Chennai.
Reports say that she threw tantrums on the sets of the film and cancelled shoots. It seems that Farah Khan, the film’s choreographer, was irked with Ileana. But the inside story is completely different.
Farah Khan and the producer of the film are standing by Ileana saying that she is a thorough professional. DC throws light on what exactly happened on the sets of Nanban. Asked if Ileana was non-cooperative, Farah denied the allegation completely.
“Ileana was co-operative. She was injured on the sets of the film. Despite her injury she managed to finish the shoot. Why will I get irritated with her if she was being a complete professional on the sets. All was well with Ileana during the shoot. At the end of the day, it is Shankar’s film and we all work for him as a team.”
The Nanban crew, including Ileana, has been shooting for six days for the song. A source from the sets of the film says, “Ileana was injured all six days of the shoot. She injured her left knee while she was rehearsing for the song in Mumbai. During the shooting in Chennai, she injured her right knee too. She also hurt her back slipping from the trolley on the sets. Despite all these injuries, she shot for the song and she did not cancel the shoot even for a single day.”
Kiran of Gemini Creations, the producer of Nanban, said that they had absolutely no problem with Ileana. “We had planned six days for the shoot of the song and it was completed on schedule. Ileana did not cause any trouble during the shoot. This is going to be an interesting song in the film and Farah has done a fantastic job.”
While Farah and the producer echo the same sentiment, Ileana is shooting in the US.
The spokesperson from her publicity team summed it up, “She has put her film first and worked through Nanban’s song sequence even though she was injured. This proves her professionalism and her dedication towards her work — this should put an end to all the rumours.”
