14 new Tamil movies launched in a single day


It was a record setting day for Kollywood. 14 new Tamil movies went on floor in a single day and this Monday (14.07.2008) will be recorded as a golden day for Kollywood.
Almost five movies were launched in AVM alone and AVM studio had a festive look.
Shooting for Magane En Marumagane starring Vivek, Lawrence Raghavendra’s Rajathi Raja, director Prabhu’s Adhae Neram Adhae Idam, Prakashraj - Rambha starrer Vidiyum Varai Kathiru and Aruvathu Vanam began today.
Sakthi Chidambaram, who wielded the megaphone for hit films including Ennama Kannu, Charlie Chaplin, Englishkaran, Kovai Brothers, Vyabari commenced his next venture Rajathi Raja.
Produced and directed by Sakthi Chidambaram himself, it features Lawrence Raghavendra and five prominent heroines in the lead roles.
Actor Vivek and Nasser play pivotal characters in Magane En Marumagane, produced by Raj TV and directed by T P Gajendran.
The muhurat was attended by Tamil Film Producer Council president Rama Narayanan.
Director M Prabhu’s Adhae Neram Adhae Idam starring Subramaniapuram fame Jai also went on floors today. Produced by Ramakrishna, the film has musical score by Premji Gangai Amaran.
Prakashraj and Rambha come together for an action-packed film titled Vidiyum Varai Kathiru, directed by Vyas, while director Bhuvanesh’s Aaravadhu Vanam, produced by Latha Thyagarajan, was started today.
