Though his 'off-beart' film 'Taare Zameen Par'won accolades from various quarters, actor-director Aamir Khan has said he loved 'larger than life' movies and he was a big fan of Rajinikanth.
Talking to the media in Chennai on Monday, Aamir, who was in the city to receive the Gollapudi Srinivas National Award for best debutant director, said, 'though cinema has got secondary roles like bringing a social change, the primary job of a film is to entertain people.'
Aamir, who is usually reluctant to attend award ceremonies, said that he had decided to personally accept the Gollapudi Award because he deeply valued the organization and the organizers. This is the first award for 'Taare Zameen Par' that Aamir has agreed to accept personally.
i guess he looks at rajinikanth cinema as tom and jerry cartoon... thats what rajini is- a piece of funny bore.
