The Kerala Producers Association has issued an ultimatum to producers of Malayalam movies not to engage director and actor Srinivasan in their movies. This comes in the wake of a complaint lodged by producer Vindhyan, alleging that Srinivasan has not directed a movie for him, as promised, for which he took an advance of Rs. 5 lakh in the year 1998,
nor has he returned the cash.
Vindhyan, however was diplomatic when questioned about this turn of events. He told the presspersons that Srinivasan is one of his close friends but he had no other choice other than to lodge a complaint since the money was overdue for more than 10 years now. “I am hoping to solve this issue amicably,” he added further.
As is known, Srinivasan is the writer and director of the Malayalam super hit Kadha Parayumbol which was later remade into Kuselan, released recently
