It has been quite a rarely explored genre and now we have a movie that will revolve around black magic. Titled Thanthiran, the movie is about how the heroine (Shwetha Menon) comes to meet a famous sorcerer in the hills of Kerala to know the whereabouts of her long missing brother. But the sorcerer instead of helping her, develops other
intentions and cast his spells over her. But, the male lead, Aravind (Chennai 28 fame) follows his lady love into the hills. His attempts to rescue her from the evil clutches of the magician’s spells is what Thanthiran is all about.
The story consists of all the elements of a thriller, with the mystic feel of ancient magic been given importance. There is also an element of suspense. The film is written and directed by K.J. Bose while Rathan Chandrashekhar handles the dialogue. Thanthiran has music by V. Thashi.
