Divya's desperation

With good and innovative storytellers making it big in the Tamil film industry of late, artistes are mighty keen to be part of stories with substance rather than the regular run of the mill projects.
Divya Spandana who was introduced to Tamil audiences through the film 'Kuthu' has been making quite a decent stride tasting success with the films 'Giri' and 'Polladhavan'. Although her film 'Thoondil' did not bring about the desired result, she has been cast along with Suriya for the highly anticipated film 'Varanam Aayiram' that also features Sameera Reddy and Simran.
Being part of one good story which goes well with the audience is equal to 'running around trees' and being the hero's arm candy in ten films. Being very clear about this facet of filmdom and also with the knowledge that there is no one actress who is considered the 'Queen of Kollywood' at the moment, Divya Spandana is reportedly very particular to be part of Vetri Maaran's next film. The director who churned out a hit with 'Polladhavan' is currently making preparations for his next film.
This yet-to-be-named film would narrate a story that is firmly rooted with the Madurai culture. Dhanush would be playing the protagonist and a search is on for the heroine. It is quite evident that Divya Spandana who is the nemero uno in Kannada filmdom is keen to make it really big in Tamil as well. Hence her desperation to be part of the successful team once again is quite reasonable.
But then the think tank behind the new film will take a call on this and confirmation will be out very soon.
