The 2008 Los Angeles Film Critics Association award for Best Music Score has gone to A. R. Rahman for Slumdog Millionaire. Set in Mumbai, and directed by Danny Boyle of Trainspotting fame, Slumdog Millionaire has become an unexpected box office hit in the U.S. and U.K. It will be released in India in January.
