‘Ayan’ team back from Africa

M. Saravanan, M.S. Guhan, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan of AVM have been shelling out lots of money for ‘Ayan’ starring Surya and Thamannah in lead roles. Talkie portion of the film is almost completed and K.V. Anand had fleeted to Africa along with his 40-unit member to Africa shooting few scenes, stunts and song sequences. In the pursuit of good exotic locations, both Director and cinematographer had fleeted to Postwana boundary near Namibia. It was a winter time where the daytime temperature would be 40 degrees while nighttime its 5 degrees.
With Vairamuthu penning lyrics for ‘Nenje Nenje’ and Harris Jayaraj tuning melodies, the song was shot at ‘Skeleton Coast’ where it was filmed. The farthest town from this place is around 50kms where even water had to be transported from that place. At most of the time, its mud-whirl where the team members including Surya and Thamannah were disturbed a lot. Dinesh choreographed for the songs and the team returned to Chennai during last week.
Apart from this, a fight sequence was shot at a small island ‘Zanzibar’ in Tanzania. Hollywood’s best flicks ‘The Posedion Adventure’, ‘Flight of the phoeniz’, ‘King Solomon’s Mines” had Hollywood stunt director ‘FRANZ SPILHAUS’ choreographed stunts along with Kanal Kannan and 8 member unit.
