Prabhu Solomon will be directing a comedy film after Laadam. He said,'' Laadam which has Aravind and Charmi in the lead will be released on March 6th.
This film is being released concurrently in Tamil and Telugu. This will was supposed to be released for Pongal but due to non availability of theatres I was not able to release the film. Laadam is definitely no run-of-the-mill stuff. It is about the tale of friends, who help each other in tight corner situations.
This film also gives a message that one can reduce unnecessary talks and by remaining in silence can achieve a lot of things. Normally in a film the hero usually saves the heroine but in this film it is vice versa. Charmi does the role of protecting the hero. She has really excelled in her action. After this I am planning to direct a film about the lives of the people living in a small town and this film will be a wholesome comedy film." The film is produced by J P Kumar and D Y Chowdary under the banner Cosmos Entertainment.
The movie marks the re-entry of Charmi in Tamil cinema. She plays the heroine opposite newcomer Aravindhan. Charmi said, "All credit should go to Prabhu Solomon. He convinced me to do the film. I play a bubbly young girl oozing with positive energy. I have emotions and comedy to dally with and it has indeed been a great experience to shoot for the film". Aravindan said, 'Everyone made me feel at ease. I did what the director wanted me to do. Laadam will be a path-breaking film'.Dharan has composed the music for this while Sukumar has wielded the camera.
