Pasupathy's Slap Spills Blood

A Tamil daily has reported that Pasupathy who is currently working in the film 'TN 07 4777' was supposed to slap a fellow actor in a particular shot. Pasupathy who is known to bring about the 'realistic' approach to acting, planned to execute a make-believe slap that looks real on camera. However, the timing of the slap went awry and the end result was a full-throttled real slap.
The poor colleague's ear started bleeding. It is reported that the person who was slapped is a bosom buddy of the film's director A. Lakshmikanthan. The daily also reported that the director's friend was heard murmuring, 'thank god, he was not asked to strangle me'.
'TN 07 4777' is the remake of the Hindi film 'Taxi No. 9211' which starred Nana Patekar, John Abraham, Sonali Kulkarni and Sameera Reddy. The Tamil version stars Ajmal, Simran and Meenakshi along with Pasupathy. It can be noted that Pasupathy plays the same character enacted by the brilliant Nana Patekar. That probably is the reason behind Pasupathy trying to be 'very real'.
