A. R. Rahman wins Golden Globe: Reactions from the film industry


Prominent film personalities and the who's who of the music industry have greeted Rahman after he won the coveted Golden Globe Award for Best Original Music score for 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
Here's what the stars said….
Shahrukh Khan:
It is a proud moment for every Indian. Rahman has made us proud by winning the coveted award. I was an invitee to the award ceremony. To witness an Indian achieve the feat is an achievement in itself.
Drummer Sivamani: He is a musician par excellence. He deserves the award. I had been associated with him for a long time. To watch him working in close quarters is a delight. 'Slumdog Millionaire' is a jewel in Rahman's Crown. He deserves many more honors.
Aamir Khan: A great musician….Rahman is a rare talent. He is sure to go places. I wish him all the very best for his future endeavors.
Ramesh Vinayakam: He is an inspiration for musicians like us. He is a great human being and is sure to win many more honors. The Golden Globe is almost like an Oscar. I wish him all the best.
S. J. Suryah: I have worked with him in many films before. When he went to the USA for the Award Ceremony a week ago, I wished him well and hoped he wins the award. It has come true. Being a Tamilian, I am all the more proud with his achievement. Allah Rakha Rahman is a national treasure now.

Pa Vijay (lyricist): All the very best to Rahman. He has made every Indian and every Tamilian proud. It is a jewel in the crown of Tamil film history. He is a master craftsman.

  1. I am not surprised that this movie came out on top again. It was a really well-made movie. This night is just one more picture perfect night for this movie and everyone that was involved in it.
