Kamal’s advice to the industry

Summer in Chennai has arrived and vacation for children is round the corner. Hence it is no surprise that Kollywood is planning a children’s film this season which is aptly titled Pasanga. This film directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sasi of Subramaniapuram fame had its audio launch this morning at Sathyam cinemas which was attended by Dr M Balamuralikrishna and Kamal Haasan among other dignitaries of Kollywood. Dr Balamuralikrishna has sung a song in the film and on this occasion he
recalled how happy he was to work with a young team. Kamal in his speech said that it is time that the industry clearly categorizes their films into family based or children oriented or sex films. This makes it a lot easier for the audience to choose their films and does not give an opportunity to cringe in the seats in a wrong film.
Director Pandiraj said that he had nurtured the idea of making a good children’s film ever since he saw Anjali and his dreams came true after Sasi agreed to produce his film. While talking about Pasanga he says that it would not only appeal to children but also to elders. Pasanga has music scored by James Vasanthan and Vega of Saroja fame and Vimal play the lead roles along with 10 kids.
