S J Suryah is currently busy in editing the Telugu film Puli which has been directed by him.
When asked him about the status of the film Newtonin Mundram Vidhi, he said,” The shooting of the film has been completed and is ready for release in all aspects. We have postponed the release due to ensuing Parliamentary elections and T 20 Cricket matches.
Though IPL matches are going to take place outside India, people would be still more concentrating on that. Election campaigning has also commenced. So it would be appropriate to feed when people are hungry. In view of the foregoing, Newtonin Mundram Vidhi will be released after elections.
70 % of the Telugu film Puli which I am directing now has been completed. Now editing work is going on. The shooting of this will commence in the end of April. The film will be released in August.
Two more songs to be composed by A R Rahaman is pending. After this film is released in Andhra, I will be directing Puli in Tamil. In between there is a film Vil for me to be directed by Prabakar. “
