Recession: Kutti and VTV stay in India

Looks like recession has made the producers think twice about investing in foreign locales for a few songs. Two upcoming movies, Dhanush’s Kutti and Silambarasan’s Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, are being shot in different parts of South India.
Dhanush’s next flick Kutti, directed by Jawahar and also starring Shriya is being filmed in the Orissa - Andhra border. This off the beaten track location was discovered by director Jawahar where shoots are
being carried out after obtaining special permission from the Railways. On the other hand, Gautam Menon is stationed at his favorite hangout Alleppey with his VTV crew. While Gautam is exploring Alleppey for the right locations to shoot, Trisha and Silambarasan are awaiting the director’s call from the backwaters.
