After his stint with success as the Kollywood hero (in Ellam Avan Seyal directed by Shaji Kailash), RK plays the lead role of Azhagar Malai, a film produced by Sangili Murugan, who gave Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, one of the monumental hit movies of Kollywood.
The shooting of Azhagar Malai is fast inching towards its final stages. Soon this action-comedy will be read to enthrall the public. Directed by S.P. Rajkumar, the director of Ponmanam, En Uyir Neethan, En Purushan Kuzhanthai Mathiri, has directed this film. Banu of Thamirabarani fame has paired up with RK and also adds quite a lot of glamour to Azhagar Malai.
The star attraction of the film will be RK and Vadivelu’s comedy. Vadivelu, who usually never works for more than 8 days in a film, has dedicated 20 days of his busy schedule to Azhagar Malai. Filmmakers say that this film will be a complete rib-tickler, something along the lines of films like Ullathai Allitha.
The other biggest highlight is music by Isaignani Ilayaraja, who is director Sangili Murugan’s favourite music composer and with whom he has worked in several hit films.
