He was one of the hot hero in the late 1990’s and he is back to set the screens on fire again. Prashanth who made his debut in 1990 in the film Vaigasi Poranthachu and went on to give hits like Chembaruthi, Jeans, Jodi, Parthen Rasithen, Majnu is back after a bried hiatus. His ather actor-director Thiagarajan is leaving no stones unturned to give his best boost to Prashanth’s career with the film ‘Malayoor Mambattian’ where he makes a comeback into the tinsel world.
The shooting for ‘Malayoor Mambattian’ which is a remake of the yesteryear classic hit, has been carried out in tough terrains of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Though the movie is a remake, the screenplay has been adapted to suit the modern audience.
A sequel to R.K Selvamai’s Pulan Visaranai which is named Pulan Visaranai II with Prashanth in the lead is yet to hit the screens.
The original Malaiyur Mambattiyan had Prashanth’s father Thyagarajan in the lead and was a super hit sucess. Will the sucess repeat for Prashanth too. Time will tell.
