Jayam Raja who is an expert in directing remake films is once again resorting to direct a remake film.
Raja had earlier directed remake films such as Jayam, M Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi, Unakkum Enakkum and Santosh Subramaniam. Now he has got the remake rights of the Telugu film Kick which had Ravi Teja, Shyam and Ileana in the cast. Raja said,”
There was a tough competition to get the rights for this film. Though I have got this film for a high price, they gave me the rights because of the confidence they have in me. The films which I have remade were hits. This film Kick will out beat my other films in term of collection. The hero for this film is yet to be decided. Next I will be directing a film which will have Vijay in the lead. I will also be directing my brother Jayam Ravi in another film.”
