Priyanka who had acted in Vasantha Balan’s Veyil has now got Kerala State Government Award for best acting in the Malayalam film Vilabangaluku Appuram. While speaking about this she said,” Though I have acted in few Malayalam films, I never gave a serious thought about acting. I gave a serious thought about acting after performing in Veyil.
By acting in this film, I understood the depth and its potency. After this I was choosy about my characters. I chose to act in Vilabangaluku Appuram because the story is good. I have done the role called Shakira in this film. Director T V Chandran has structured the role so beautifully and has brought out my acting skill.” She says that her experience in acting in Veyil has fetched her this award.
