Ucchakattam is a film produced by Thirumalai Creations Gopal. This film has Gemini. Flora, Miss Karnataka Swathi mad Kanga Karuppu in the cast.Senthil Kumar has handled the camera. Charles Melvyn has composed the music. Director Naveen while speaking about this film said,” This film has nothing to do with the film Ucchakattam which was released in 80s.
In this thriller film Gemini and Flora had acted as husband and wife. In their life untoward incident take place. They say Flora is mentally retarded. Daily a ghost threatens her. That ghost is Swathi. Why she is scaring her is the climax of the story.
The song Oru Kannil Kadhal Sonnai which features Gemini and Swathi has been shot in an innovative way. We shot this song using 4 Red Eye cameras. 5000 frames will be in a single screen. This song was shot at a cost of Rs 6 Lakhs.”
