A youth, who alleged to be in love with the tennis superstar Sania Mirza, was arrested on grounds of creating nuisance at her residence.
Mohammed Ashraf, a civil engineering student demanded cancellation of Sania’s engagement stating that he was in love with the player.
Sania’s engagement is scheduled to be held on July 10 with a businessman’s son. Meanwhile, Ashraf and his friend D Mohanty went to Sania’s house and had an argument with Imran Mirza, Sania’s father.
Following this, a case was registered at the Banjara Hills police station. Ashraf was also involved in sending SMS and making threatening calls to the player.
Security has been provided by policemen at the tennis star’s house after the incident.
