Roma who had given hit films in Malayalam and Kannada films is currently acting in Tamil film titled Vanjikottai Valiban. She spoke to the media when she had come to Chennai to act in this film. She said,” I had got lot offers to act in Tamil films earlier but I was not able to act because of my preoccupation in Malayalam films. Moreover all the Malayalam films which I had acted became hits. This is also one of the reasons I could not do Tamil films. I was introduced as a heroine in the Tamil film Kadhale En Kadhale. But this film did not do well at the box office. At this point I got the offer to act in Malayalam films. So I started concentrating in Malayalam films.
Malayalam films like Minnaminni Kootam, Note Book, Chocolate, Lolipop and Colors in which I had acted became super duper hits. After these I continued to act in Malayalam films. Since I had dates I had agreed to work in a Tamil film. Jeeva is directing the film Vanji Kottai Valiban in which Shakthi is doing the lead role. I am donning role of a college student who is short tempered. There will always be a a clash between me and the hero. In the meantime I was also signed for a Malayalam film Utthara Suyamvaram.
