Azhagar Malai Movie Review

The story is heard and seen before but S P Rajakumar has made a good effort of narrating the movie in a new and gripping manner. This goes on to make the movie a good commercial entertainer which will be a hit with the B and C audience.
Pugazhendhi(RK) is a spoiled rich brat who is the brother of much respected Pandithurai(Napolean). Pandidurai cares a lot for his brother Pugazh who is a drunkard and is upto no good. He arranges for marriage for his brother, but knowing abt Pugazh no one is willing to give their daughter. Pugazh turns over a new leaf after seeing his brother being insulted in the village meeting. He meets Janani(Banu) and its love at first sight. But the marriage has to pass through many hurdles. Why? Lal an arch rival of Pandithurai has vowed that he’ll never let the wedding take place.

How the lovers overcome the hurdle and unite in holy matrimony forms the climax of the movie. RK has come a long way from the ‘Ellam Avan Seyal’ days and has done a decent job with humor and dance too. Banu has also lost a few pounds and does a good job as RK’s lover.
Its good to see Nepolean in the village background again and he is at ease with his character. Director SP Rajakumar will have no problem with the B & C center with this commercial packed entertainer.
