Director Selvaraghavan speaks for the first time about his separation from Sonia

Director Selvaraghavan says that he and Sonia Agarwal got separated only because of difference and opinion and there is no other reason.
Selvaraghavan while speaking about this to the media said,” Me and Sonia Agarwal were goods friends even before our marriage. We lived together for 7 years. But the problems started emerging only after our marriage. I had some expectations about my would be wife.
But Sonia was not like that. Sonia had also some expectations about me. But I was not up to her expectations. I am not a 10 to 6 officegoer. I am in the cinema profession. I have to be more dedicated to my profession. I had worked continuously for 45 days without going home. I could not spare my time for her. She would have expected all this.
I belong to a village near Theni but Sonia is from Chandigarh. Our culture and customs were different. This itself is a problem. There was news that problems erupted between us because Sonia had gone to act in TV serials. In fact I was the one who encouraged her to act in serials because she was idling in the house.
There was also news that we were separated because of Andrea. There is no truth in it. There is no truth in the news that Sonia slapped Andrea in a party. Somebody has been spreading these rumors. For the last two years there were a lot of differences between us and that is the only reason for our separation.Though Sonia has left me, she keep speaking to me on phone every day. She shares her feelings with me. Though we are not husband and wife now, we are good friends. I am not interested in getting married. In case if I don’t get married, I am not worried about not having my progeny. Only my films are my progenies.”
