Peranmai which has Jayam Ravi in the lead is being directed by Jananathan. Jayam Ravi is donning the role of a forest officer in this film.
The shooting of the whole film has taken place in a dense forest. There are five heroines in this film including Vasundra, Saranya and Tanshika. Hindi film distributors on hearing this film wanted this film to be remade in Hindi.
But they were told that this film took a lot of time to be made in Tamil and hence it would be difficult to remake this film in Hindi. So they have decided to dub this film in Hindi.
Since Tamil films like Ghajini, Pammal K Sambandham and Yaavarum Nalam were remade in Hindi, there is a great reception for Tamil films these days. Now their eyes have turned towards Peranmai.
