A fire accident took place while shooting for the film Nellai Pattinam. The heroines of this film sustained fire injuries. Nellai Pattinam is a film being produced by Natchatra Movie Makers.
New faces Udhay, Sowbarniga and Roshna are debuting in this film. J C J Sujith who had worked under the popular Malayalam director Lal Jose is directing this film. Arabi Tamil has written the screenplay and dialogues. The climax scenes are being shot in the forest areas of Chitranjali near Trivandrum.
The sequence was that the heroines Sowbarniga and Roshna have to escape from a house which is in inferno. Unfortunately while this sequence was shot, the sarees of the heroines caught fire and they started yelling. Somehow the crew put out the fire by pouring water on them. Both the heroines sustained fire injuries and they were admitted in the hospital.
The shooting of the film was cancelled because of this. When asked the director about this, he said,” It is true that there was fire accident but due to the timely action by the crew, a big fire accident was averted.’
