Disco Shanthi and Lalitha Kumari are the two daughters of the late popular star C S Anandan. Both of them acted in films and became popular. Disco Shanthi married Telugu actor Sri Hari and Lalitha Kumari married Prakash Raj.Both of them stopped acting after getting married. Disco Shanthi settled with her husband in Hyderabad. Prakash Raj and Lalitha Kumari were living in Chennai. Due to the difference of opinion they had applied for divorce on mutual consent.
The family court granted them divorce yesterday. At this point Lalitha Kumari got an opportunity to act in a film once again. She made her debut as an actress in the film Manadhil Urudhi Vendum produced by Kavithalaya.
After this she continued to do heroine roles in many films including Vaaku Mulam. She also did comedy roles in some films. Now once again she will be acting in the film Muriyadi produced by Kavithalaya. Sathyaraj, Ganesh Venkatraman and Ramya Nambesan are starring in this film. Lalitha Kumari will be pairing with Sathyaraj. Selva is directing this film.
