With Christmas holiday ready to get-go within next couple of days, it’s gonna be a yearend of top-drawers in box office. According to trade analysis, the last 10 days of 2009 has three big releases – James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’.Apart from ennobling these movies to be grandiosely churned out films, they’ve been sold out for big price as well. Literally, the opening for both ‘Avatar’ and ‘Vettaikaran’ is found to be peachy. As with accordance to confirmed reports, the advance booking for first three days (inclusive of special shows) have been booked for all the shows. When it comes to ‘Avatar’, it doesn’t matter about the mixed reviews since the smashing promos and ‘James Cameron’ factors will gradually keep the shows intact for next couple of weeks. Much equivalently, Sun Pictures has been vigorously promoting ‘Vettaikaran’ with subsequent change in new teasers (almost 5 news trailers in past couple of weeks), which is something unusual with the same production house and its previous projects. On Christmas Eve, Aamir Khan’s ‘3 idiots’ will makes it way on the screens with more prints… Aamir Khan has a lucky fact of his films releasing on Christmas turning to be black horses at box office. Need an illustration? ‘Ghajini’ itself is a best exemplification of this fact. It’s worth mentioning that the book (Five Point Some One by Chetan Bhagath) is one of the Top 5 best sellers in India.Amidst of these big tickets, few medium and low budget films like – Kandha Kottai and 365 Kadhal Kadithangal too will try its luck for this holiday season.Though it’s a critical situation for these producers, you’re sure to have a great yearend with so many releases to entertain you.
