Tamil cinema’s first trilogy is supposed to be Appavi according to its director R Raghuraj. “This is the first in the series I am going to make with the themes red, white and green. This is part of the red theme.”The film is produced by ECR VL Dandapani and stars Suhani, a find from Andhra with four Telugu films behind her. She plays a college student while a real time college student Gautham is the hero. Studying currently in Loyola College, he was chosen within seven days of applying for the role.“I wanted a fresh face with no image so that the audience could identify with the strong dialogues,” says RaghurajThe camera work is by E Krishnaswamy and Joshua Sridhar has composed the music. The film has a strong message and the director seems confident that he will be able to touch the hearts of crores of Indians with it.
