The entire team of Sun Pictures is now regretting for having acquired the rights of Vijay’s 50th film ‘Sura’. The film didn’t do well at least even for a week as most of the theatres were empty houses right before the first week itself. Reluctant to receive the reviews, the actor took a flight to Bangkok to forget his worries.
Sun Pictures’ next film ‘Singam’ was supposed to release during second week of June and will now have a preponed release on May 28. Many would have expressed that it was the need of calling the attention of family audiences much prior to the end of summer vacations. But that’s not the fact as distributors and exhibitors of ‘SURA’ were insisting Sun Pictures to compensate the loss.
With no options left, they have decided to provide ‘Singam’ at a lower price and are sure that they can get away with the losses incurred through ‘Sura’.
Probably, it looks like, this will be the last film of Vijay to be acquired by Sun Pictures as they have had a lot.
