This tall, hefty and sexy figure from the Tollywood ventured to the Kollywood through Arundhathi. Despite being a dubbed version, the film made a resounding effect on the audience with good box office in all the centres. But at that time Anushka would not have imagined that there would be a red carpet for her in Kollywood in a span of three years. Though she got good offers then, it was Singam in the last year that broke the hitches in her career. Prior to that she paired with the Ilayathalpathy in Vettaikkaran but she flew away with the film’s utter flop.
Came the year 2011 and she could not meet the Tamil audience much due to her commitments in Tollywood. This year she appeared in just two movies of good repute, Vaanam and Deivathirumagal. Of course, Vaanam is the remake of the Telugu version but Deivathirumagal gave a nice platform for Anushka to render her talents. Till now she is looked upon as a glamorous actress not to the core of a real heroine with some sort of quality, barring Deivathirumagal. Yet, the ensuing year promises a lot for her in Kollywood as she is to pair with Arya in Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam. She is more fortunate to hear that the superstar Rajnikanth’s Kochadaiyaan is expecting her consent for the role. All these reflect her charm and flexibility of the profession.
