Director Priyadarshan to receive the prestigious Padmashri Award

Director Priyadarshan will be receiving the India’s fourth highest civilian award which is Padmashri. He has been honored with this award for his excellence as a movie director. Priyadarshan has directed several South India films and Hindi films. Some of his famous movies in Hindi are Hera Peri, Hungamma, Hulchul, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Chup Chup Ke, Dol and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He has also directed various films in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil languages. Some of the films are Megham, Chandralekha, Kala Pani and Kanchivaram which has won the National Award. Priyadarshan is currently directing a Hindi film titled Tez.
