Music Director A R Rahman's 'Comeback' in Kollywood?


A.R.Rahman is the leading Musician in the Indian film industry. This Maestro though belonging to Kollywood, at times is not able to devote time to Tamil films. Last year 2011 was one such year. There was not even a single release from A.R.Rahman in Kollywood.

It seems, A.R.Rahman is also aware of this and worried about it. Hence, he has decided to make it up by devoting more time to Tamil movies this year. As much as 5 films are expected to be released under A.R.Rahman’s Music.

Those 5 films in A.R.Rahman’s Music are Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadal’, Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’, Dhanush’s film ‘Mariyaan’ directed by Bharathbala, Gautham Menon’s ‘Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru’ and a project with Director Shankar also.

On speaking about this, A.R.Rahman said, “Yes, it’s almost like a comeback of sorts for me. I’m making up for my absence. I would compose for as much as 5 films in Tamil this year”.

Last year, A.R.Rahman was very busy with concerts and Bollywood and Hollywood projects. Rahman is very excited to make his comeback in Kollywood.

ARR has a very good relation with Mani Ratnam. Hence, he decided to use the opportunity from, when he got call from Mani Ratnam from ‘Kadal’. At present, ARR is also working on Rajini’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’.
