Child Actress Killed in Air Crash

Taruni Sachdev, who is better known as the Rasna girl, died in an air crash yesterday, May 14th, 2012. Taruni and her mother Geetha boarded a flight to the Muktinath Temple in Nepal along with about 20 passengers aboard, when the accident occurred.

Apart from Taruni and her mother, 13 Indians and 2 Nepalis succumbed to the injuries. The pilot was maneuvering the flight to land at the Jomsom Airport when he lost control of the aircraft and hit the mountain peak nearby killing the passengers on-board.

Taruni has been seen in several commercials and films. She was famous for her role in Paa, in which she shared the screen space with the Big B Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
