Actress Andrea in search of her roots

Andrea Jeremiah, the theatre artist, singer and actress who has now become popular in Kollywood, is doing a Malayalam film Annayum Rasoolum. The film is directed by famous cameraman Rajeev Ravi, who is debuting as a director.

Rajeev is Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Asthana’ Cameraman (regular cameraman) from his No Smoking days to his latest Gangs of Wasseypur. Hot and happening Malayalam young star Fahad Fazil is playing the hero opposite Andrea.

Andrea who is said to be very impressive in Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam is said to have fallen for Rajeev’s narration of Annayum Rasoolum. The film is going to be a major break for Andrea a Tamil Nadu born Anglo-Indian whose parents are from Kochi.

Annayum Rasoolum started today (August 1) in Kochi with Andrea and Fahad taking part in the shoot. A lot of young upcoming Malayalam directors like Ashique Abu (Salt & Pepper) have approached her to do more Malayalam films. Her voice and ability to sing Western songs is seen as a big asset for the actress who is making waves.
