The latest buzz in the industry is
that, director Shankar is all set to remake his ‘I’ in Hindi soon. It’s
being said that he has approached Tollywood superstar Mahesh to play the
lead in it.
A source in the know says, “Most of Shankar’s earlier films have been remade in Hindi, or dubbed in the language. Now, Shankar is planning to remake I in Hindi. He first approached Hrithik Roshan, but things didn’t work out. He then met Mahesh Babu in Chennai to discuss the possibility.”
However, a close associate of Shankar rubbishes these reports, saying, “Shankar has no such plans as of now. He has finished a schedule of this Vikram-starrer in Chennai. We are waiting for the visa formalities to come through, and will head to China soon.”
