'My zeal is to make good films' - Anita Udeep
After a formal course in film-making abroad and a stint at director Spielberg's Dreamworks, Anita Udeep is churning out an exciting Tamil film named 'Kulir'.
She says, ' Tamil audiences are open to new ideas and are mighty receptive to new themes. This has created an urge in me to make a film in Tamil'.
Anita's animation flick 'Gulliver's Travels' made it to the Oscar semi-finals in the animated film category.
'Kulir' features Sanjeev from Kerala playing the lead role along with a newcomer from Delhi named Ria who plays the heroine. Sashi, son of Murali (of music director Sabesh- Murali duo) is being introduced as the music director. Anita, who initially shot to fame crooning the 'Azhagiya Asura' number in 'Whistle' will be singing a song in this film too.
The movie is a mix of friendship, comedy, action and adventurous fantasy. Her team has researched for over six months and taken great pains to work out every detail with perfection.
Talking about the name of the film, Anita says, 'The film is as hot as 100° and as cold as Kulir (cold). The entire story takes place in a hill station'.
'It's a fast- paced action thriller and a film I can relate to with certain real-life incidents in my life', she says.
