Baer, for it kept long way in finalizing the star-casts and director the film. First it was Dhanush and Trisha who were opted to play lead roles. Later, as Dhanush recommended Shriya Charan, even it had been eliminated from the project. Later Bharath and Thamannah has been finalized for lead roles that were played Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Moser Baer wanted Karu Pazhaniappan to direct the remake in Tamil and now Jayam Kondan fame Kannan is set to wield megaphone for this project.
Pritam who scored music for the original version of Jab We Met will tune melodies for the Tamil version too… Since Bharath and Thamannah are busy working on different projects, shooting for this film will commence by the month of January.
