Exclusive Reports: Will the expected biggies make it big?

We’ve been regretting a lot as Tamil film buffs as none of the films made so big in box office as well proved to be a successful film amongst the audiences. Although, some of the leading network had released the film and publicized it vigorously, the results were merely average and it’s more evident with ‘Ayan’. Although, the film seems to have crossed successful 100 days, the collections aren’t as you expect. Fine! Wanna know the one and only film that made high waves in box office during the first 7 months of 2009. ‘Nadodigal’ had catered to tastes of all centres, not just in Tamil Nadu, but all over the South Indian theatres. Trade analysts have marked the film as ‘Super Hit’ while ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ has been credited as average.
Now, there are series of films that have raised everyone’s expectations and here goes the list.
Kandasamy – Starring Vikram, Shriya Charan in lead roles is directed by Susi Ganeshan. Producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu has shelled out around 60Crores to produce this film.
Unnai Pol Oruvan – Remake of ‘A Wednesday’ doesn’t mean the film would be a super hit. But when Kamal Haasan is there in show, you can expect something different. Mohan Lal does the police commissioner role. Will Kamal Haasan deliver a lengthy dialogue as he did in ‘Indian’ as there are certain sequences in Hindi version as well?
Aayirathil Oruvan – Post production works are still pending and we’ve no idea exactly when this film will release. Talks are going on with a leading production network to sell the film, but they are backing off due to heavy rates. Selvaraghavan is sure about witnessing success as he assures this is something new to Kollywood.
Raavana: Mani Rathnam’s bilingual film in Hindi and Tamil will probably arrive in November. The film has biggies of star-casts from Abhishek Bachchan, Vikram, and Aishwarya Rai to Prithviraj and Prabhu-Karthik. A.R. Rahman’s musical score is yet another embellishment for the film.
Endhiran: The biggest ticket will probably hit the screens in December or early 2010. Rajnikanth himself has revealed that it would get released sooner. Again, here’s A.R. Rahman pitching his colossal musical score.
Let’s wait and watch who’s gonna make it bigger across the box office contest.
