When he lights his cigarette each time, he remembers the legendary Sivaji Ganesan. KS Ravikumar takes pleasure in remembering those golden days of directing Nadigar Thilagam and Superstar for 'Padayappa'.
Many know that Sivaji Ganesan hated the sheer smell of the cigarette smoke, though he was a chain smoker initially. We have a treasured hush-hush incident that was revealed by KS Ravikumar. Being a devoted actor, Sivaji Ganesan would be on the sets from morning till the pack-up time. As our veteran actor does not like cigarette smoke, it was a tough time to control the craving for many people.
Once it happened that, KS Ravikumar went inside a room where trashes were dumped to take a puff. There he caught another person who came before him, for the same purpose and it was our Superstar. After enjoying the Cigarette both of them came out to resume the shooting; but the whiff of the cigarette did not leave them. Unfortunately Sivaji Ganesan sensed the odour and asked in a rough tone who smoked inside the set. That was enough to make them both feel offensive, but then they instantly turned naughty and blamed the make-up man who stood there. The funniest part here is that the make-up man never smokes.
Well we say, that’s not a lie, it's a tactical misrepresentation. What say people?
