After the hit film Padikadhavan, Dhanush will once more join with director Suraj for a film titled Maappilai. This film is the remake of block buster Rajni film Maappilai.
Mani Sharma who had composed the music for Padikadhavan is also composing the music for this film. In the similar way Venkatesh who had handled the camera for the film Padikadhavan is also wielding the camera for this film. Sayaji Shinde is donning the villain role.
Hansika Motwani will be pairing with Dhanush. Dhanush’s mother-in-law role is yet to be finalized. Talks are going on with Sri Devi, Tabu and Jayapradha with regard to this. The shooting of the film is to commence on 20th of this month.
