Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru Movie Reviews

Everything is fine with ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’. But Nandini could’ve tried her luck with the same script in Bollywood. For sure, she would’ve turned the entire spotlights. Naturally, ‘T4’ carries similar traits of a Hindi flick with a light-headed entertainer with colorful deliverance.Looks like women filmmakers are gonna be far-famed for crafting hilarious entertainers. Be it Priya. V, Farah Khan of ‘Om Shanthi Om’ or the other missies: they’ve made commendable entertainers, though most of them were well-tailored genres for ‘Multiplex’ audiences.Let’s put in simple terms. The producers are sure to take a cake walk of good profit with small investments. Completely shot in digital format, the film’s visual enhancements have been enchantingly done. But when it comes to narrative aspects, Nandini should’ve penned a yet more gripping tale. The film centers on a lousy-minded youngster Arjun (Ajmal), who’s so lethargic in his works at an advertising agency. He works for a boss Srinivasan (Mouli), who has problems over recollecting names. Much contrastive in nature of Arjun, there is Archana (Rupa), working at front office of same agency. When things are turning to be more speculative in financial terms for their boss, both of them vow to put away the stake. It’s about finding a right baby model for filming a commercial advertisement. But when they think everything is ‘picture perfect’ after zeroing down on cute baby, things turn-up to be dizzied as the baby is actually kidnapped. With no options left, the duo has to let its way on pursuit of child’s parents unaware about unexpected events waiting ahead. As mentioned earlier, the film has no chances of making it big across ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres. Single screen audiences wouldn’t surely come up with good applause for the film. Nandini pulls down the screenplay being dragged at certain points. There aren’t much ‘thrill’ factors. You can praise Nandini for some laudable mirthful one-liners and nothing much than it.On the performance, Ajmal seemingly overreacts at many situations. Maybe, he has showcased an unparalleled show from his previous ‘TN 07 AL 4777’. Perhaps, variations in roles don’t mean that the actor has performed. Nandini could’ve trained him up yet more finely to suit the role. Rupa looks cute and indeed spells an engrossing performance. But, she is likely to shine more across the postcard ads and cover pages of magazines. Mouli steals the show with his charismatic touch and keeps up the same tempo he delivered appealingly with ‘Poi Solla Porom’.Musical score by Mani Sharma isn’t impressive and he does a middling job with background score. Sudhir’s cinematography is top-notching and he has perfectly handled Red One camera unlike few cameramen who struggled to bring best lighting in some of previous films shot with same instrument. What Works: Mouli’s performance, bits ‘n’ pieces of comedy tracks, kidnapped baby -center of attraction and cinematography. What Doesn’t Work: Ajmal overreacts, Rupa unapt for screen presence, Musical score, lacking solidity in script and narration…Verdict: Watch to kill your time. Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru Production: Satyam Cinemas, Real Images Direction: Nandini Star-casts: Ajmal, Rupa, Mouli and others Music: Mani Sharma
