The film Raavanan directed by Manirathnam is getting ready for release. This film is to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. In Tamil version, Vikram and Aishwarya Rai are in the lead roles. In the Hindi version, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are in the lead roles. Vikram is donning the villain role. The audio CDs of this film in Hindi and Tamil languages have been released. Since the film has the music of A R Rahman, there were many expectations. Sales of these CDs are doing good business. It is pertinent to note that the audio cassettes of the film Roja which had Manirathnam- A R Rahman combo rocked every nook and corner in the year 1992.Now more than 1 lakh CDs of Raavanan have been sold out. Now Manirathnam will be doing the promo of this film worldwide. So Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Priyamani and other actors who have acted in this film will be touring for publicity of Raavanan. On 14th of this month, a publicity programme has been arranged in Chennai. Vikram while speaking about this said,” In the coming days we will be busy in promoting Raavanan. Apart from India, we will be touring abroad from June 1st.”
