Despite playing Ajit’s lead in the film ‘Asal’, actress Bhavana didn’t get that many offers in Tamil. In fact, she has not a single Tamil project in her hands at present. She reportedly tried her best to pair up opposite Vijay which hasn’t become a reality till date. She then switched her base to Kannada films and starred in a couple of films.
Her misfortune followed her there too as both the films didn’t exactly the box-office on fire. Meanwhile, rumours started floating in Kollywood that Bhavana was planning to get married and quit the world of films. She immediately released a denial saying that she hadn’t achieved ‘anything significant’ as an actress and that she wasn’t planning to get married at all.
Bhavana also added that many times in the past, she had told her directors not to have any sequence in the script which might necessitate her to ‘tie the nuptial knot’ and ‘marry the hero’. “When I refuse marriage in films, how can I be in a hurry in real life to get married,” asks Bhavana. She might, however, have to relax her ‘condition’ for her upcoming Malayalam film.
She plays the lead role opposite Jayaram in the film ‘Kudumbasri Travels’, which is being directed by debutant director Kiran. Bhavana committed herself to starring in the film as she liked the script a lot. To her dismay, the opening sequence itself shows her ‘getting married’ to Jayaram. Sources say that Bhavana, who has acted in 21 films so far, got tensed when the ‘marriage’ sequence was filmed with Jayaram.
She is also apprehensive of a small factoid which says that heroines starring in ‘marriage sequences’ in films actually do get married soon in real life too!
