It is said that the South
Indian film industry has seen a decline over the last couple of years, owing to the dominance of North Indian and
Marathi girls when compared to the
Tamil and Telugu girls.
However,
actress Bindu Madhavi is all set to change the trend with her debut in the Tamil
film industry with the Gowtham Menon production ‘Veppam’. This, however, is not Bindu Madhavi’s first brush with
South Indian cinema. The actress had earlier been noticed in Tollywood, albeit, in a very short role which had her playing the character of a demure pickle seller.
Bindu Madhavi has been a successful model prior to her entry into the South Indian film industry. In fact it was through one of her modeling assignments that Gowtham Menon first came across Bindu and decided to cast her in his upcoming project. Bindu Madhavi is keeping her fingers crossed and is pinning her hopes on ‘Veppam’. Her role of a call girl in the upcoming project will not only give her a good launch in the industry but will also bring out the acting skills hidden within her, feels the one time model. When asked about her non conventional dusky looks, Bindu Madhavi says that it is in her looks that her sex appeal lies and she is confident that audiences will love her the way she is.
