Actress Shammu to quit acting

Shammu who had acted in Tamil films Dasavatharam, Kanchivaram, Malayan and Maathi Yosi has also acted in the films Mayilu and Paalai which is to be released soon.

At this point of time, she has announced that she will quit acting. Shammu’s mother while speaking about this said, "There is university called University Of Central Florida in the Florida State.
Shammu has decided to pursue her doctor’s education there. Hence she has decided to quit acting. We who were living in overseas, came to Chennai because Shammu was interested in acting.
