Akshay and Salman in tug of war for Kamal 's hit film

Many fans would swear that Kamal Hassan's finest comedy film was the 1990 blockbuster, Michael Madana Kamarajan. The film was about the quadruplets, Michael, Madan, Kameswaran and Raju, who get separated at birth, and when their paths cross years later, there is a whole lot of wacky mayhem. Kamal Hassan did all four roles in the film and he did a fine job especially as Kameswaran with the pronounced and now famous Palghat Bhramin accent.
Cut to 2011 and Farah Khan as well as Priyadharshan are keen on a remake of MMKR. Farah wants to do the film with Salman Khan whereas Priyadharshan wants to work with Akshay Kumar. Kamal Hassan co-wrote and produced the film so it remains to be seen which camp manages to buy the rights from him first.
