Tamil Nadu Director General of Police (DGP) K Ramanujam on Tuesday issued orders transferring all the cases registered against Sun Pictures Chief Operating Officer Hansraj Saxena to CBCID for further investigation.
This decision, according to sources in the police department, was taken since a centralized agency would be in a better position to handle the cases together, as complaints against Saxena were spread across the State.
Every other day, Saxena is being brought from the Puzhal prison to the court by the Chennai city police, either seeking custody in a case or after effecting re-arrest in connection with another case. "Now the CBCID will take care of all cases", sources said.
Saxena was arrested at the Chennai airport exactly a month ago (July 3). Nearly six of them had withdrawn their cases, after 'settlement' was reportedly made out of the court.
