Vadivelu in trouble

With the land grabbing cases picking up heat in the state, the new addition to the list is comedian Vadivelu. A retired bank assistant general manager S Pazhaniyappan has lodged a complaint against the actor for grabbing around Rs 3 crore worth of land in Tambaram using counterfeit documents.

Pazhaniappan purchased 34 cents of land in an auction from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC) as the actual owner T K Ramachandran defaulted on payments, by paying Rs 20 lakhs in 2006 the land was registered in the name of Chockalingam, son of Pazhaniappan.

In the year 2009 a fence was constructed on the property and Vadivelu claim ownership of the property. A complaint was lodged in 2009 but no action was taken claims Pazhaniappan.
